Bubbles, I hope you are happy for now

I can get higher but can't guarantee any stability. I hope you are damn happy because I need to sleep and get back to work before I get fired.

Right on the moola as you said. Goes much higher with more voltage but loses L2 after 1.95V.

    time for different board?

Board is fine. The problem is that with high voltage and extremely low temps, these XP chips lose their L2 function for some reason.

hm.... time for dual parallel psu's? to help keep voltage lower... yet more stable

Just because of the voltage you're running at right?
I mean just the low temps wouldn't stop the L2 from working would it?

Combination of extreme cold and higher voltages causes the L2 to stop functioning. 2.2V on a straight water cooling rig the L2 works fine. For evaporative, anything above 2.0V on this CPU causes the L2 to stop functioning.

The 8K3A+ is one of the first boards that reads the internal XP diode and is reading between -15C to -20C and evaporator is reading -42C and these are at full load readings.

Man that's wierd. You'd think it would run fine.

    Sweet temps BTW!

Yeah, it seems strange but I hear this problem from a lot of people with low temps and high voltage. There is like a certain point where the L2 stops working.

    Need T-Breds now! :p

I don't think they are T-Breds now, I believe these to be Palominos, the last of them before the T-Bred comes out, they need to sell up these chips so they can be replaced by the T-Bred XP2200 which is to be announced on June 10th. I'd wager money on this one.

Yes, I would stay away from the 2200+ if it is a Palomino core. The odd thing is that I found several threads where some people seem to have the 2200+ Palos and doing around 2000MHz on air but they seem to be burning up around 60C.

Its not strange, I read the same thing too, they're good chips, you just don't want to have to unlock them I might get one seeing the t-bred isn't going to be here for a while. Could have a 2200 doing 2300mhz before the weeks up They have them in City if Industry for $219. Lets go Tuesday
