I wanted to use the cube condenser in this unit, but there isn’t enough room. I needed the smaller condenser as the PC power supply goes in the front section of the case above the controller and you need some clearance room. The drier will run hot at load but temps still be in the -30c’s on my QX6700. The customer will be running yorksfield in time so heatload shouldn’t be an issue.

1/2Hp unit with r410a/r507/r290 blend using the cube condenser, this one will idles close to -50c on the QX6700
Used 13mm Id insulation with 19mm walls.
-43c load with wprime1024 runs with 1.7vcore set in bios. Have to rip out a vapour LS controller from a unit and install it on this unit. The guy getting the unit will be making a 59L 22W 24H case.

NTC 10K is what you should use.

It could be ceramic die one (sort of like small cermic cap) too. Either will work as long as resistance is correct

THis is most proberly the 1.5 stuff. i use the thicker stuff on cascades. the thinner stuff comes in more colours just fits the insulation though.

my experience says that the mach/ls condenser is little small for quad loads (65nm). that's why I would put it in front and suck the air true the front, to get as cold air as possible true the condenser.. with open case the way you run it is problerbly no problem, but with closed case you will suck the hot air from compressor true the condenser.. that was my concern since it can be kinda hard to run decent temps/pressures with 100% load. but nice as always and I hope you get it run good

    Regards
    Tim

thats a good idea, we want coldest air going into the condenser first.
I put a bigger fan on the exhaust to remove the heat from the case better. Also the guy will stick 2x80mm fans in the front of the case to suck air into the case to the front of the condenser. I use server fans, so backed them down to 70% on the GSmaster controller, they are a little loud running 100%.

How is that mobo showing a sub zero reading on the pwmic AND chipset. I mean, on the pwmic I can come close to 0 on my Expert, but nowhere NEAR 0 on my chipset? If room temps are 75F how is this possible ? (Short of submersing the board in a chilled dilectric fluid)
sorry to revive this thread, and revive an old topic. Just want to clear up anything with drew.

I could be wrong, but i do know this:
he has, i think, his dd-x for his cpu, and a chiller (ac evap submerged in watercoolign loop) for the rest of his system. My guess is that both are in the loop...

no worries teyber, drew would have been running an air chilled case, and phase on the CPu I also noticed that at the time

Vapour LS mod, replaced the flex line with a kayl evap and the new 1366 mounting kit. This unit has the basic on off switch and no controller. Instead i installed a k-type temperature probe. Unit did -20c at 260w -28c at 240w and idle 60w @-38c

fans just as loud as 2x 120mm fan running at 12v
compressor as quiet as a normal firdge compressor

New Cpu, 2mm levels with capillary line entry going down the column and exiting at the bottom. Made the centre column little larger to add copper mass, 5mm base also to battle the high loads of i7 cpu’s.

GPu heads with flat faces ready to bench GTX 295;s. Hope they fit between the cards.

The new CPU heads are 263g, old ones were 205g.

Fist slide on the new enclosure and mount plate

    Then install the foam inserts

New head installed on a 3/4hp compressor, vacuming system now and then will charge with r404a refrigerant and do some load testing

Picked up the cases from the powder coaters, also installed the new blue k-type displays

Could get to almost 4.6ghz on most benches hyper threading, but found max OC doesn’t necessary meant highest score.
