My newest Rad I scrounged up 4 free

Check out this Rad I came up with for free!

But as free is never FREE, It does have a few issues.

I'll have to straighten a few fins and it looked like a pin hole in the end of
one of the inlet/outlet tubes.

The box/shroud was with it also and free with no issues other than MOD
for PC cooling.

Then The HUGE hole in outside tubing run will be a bit of a problem!
But I do need more torch time so we'll see what I can and can't solder/braze.
Let me know what you think about it's worthyness for PC Cooling?

The Basic Pkg= 2.25" wide X 4" Tall.

It won't work that well, and is more of a condensor styled heat exchanger than a radiator. To the clueless one above, maybe you should get around a bit with your eyes open.

When I said a condensor, I meant it's got the same design as a condensor, therefore it's a condensor-style HX, not a heatercore-style HX. Moras are another example of condensor-style HXes. They cool the water very well, but they utterly rape flow with their many many many 180 degree bends.

What this is.
A Heater Core mfg by "HeaterCraft" Rathum ID.
They are the worlds best BOAT Heater Mfg. Used by 95% Of Boat Mfg.
The design might not be very good for PC use but is GREAT in Boat applications.
I Didn't think about the 180` and focused the number of runs, the fin count and price.
This "core" will be used but probably in solar/stove box assist water heater at cabin.

See a heatercore has more restriction and not as much surface for teh water to touch. Its only good for boats as it doesnt need as much of a pump and I doubt a boat needs to dissipate the heat a double heatercore can.

O and boats pumps would BLOW A PC across room! Rupturing the case after all little pc cooling stuff was threaded!

:-/ so much misinformation in this thread.

1.) this isn't cooling a boat's engine, so it has nothing to do with "heat dissiapation needs"
2.) It is a poor choice for PC watercooling because our pumps are smaller, and we are focused on getting temperatures down - that's why we can't use huige pumps, they get too hot. Heating the cabin of the boat, you wouldn't care if the pump was too big/inefficent, as it's just more heat into the loop/cabin.

calm down guys... just calm down..

1. cool for getting it for free
2. its gonna be a tad bit high on the restriction due to 180degree bends
3. its not gonna work all that well due to rounded flowtubes (flat dispiate heat better)
4. Aluminum core (fins) dont disipate heat as effeciently as copper.
5. have fun with it.
