There is a new D-revision UCCC scheduled Q3 2005 from Samsung... Perhaps OCZ grabbed some already?
You were not supposed to see this.
hey when did Tony come back from holidays ?Originally Posted by bigtoe
hmmmm i have a pretty good idea of the chips (guessing) but leave it at that
OCZ EB labelled stuff has always been nice
Ryder can you see how far it clocks with Idle cycle limit of 16clk ?
---
I know of an IC that can do this if binned properly, not sure if these use it.
well, I guess it's on to a new toy, it's been a good couple weeks with these ballistix, heh. I hesitated so long buying these stix because I hated the timings, now I guess I can keep hating them
ALIENS are bringing my next kentsfield based rig in a UFO case!
kickass timings , OCZ did it again
It'll be real hard NOT to buy a set of these...
You can bet that I am getting these the moment they appear in Australia!!!
I've wanted to jump on the 2 x 1gb bandwagon even before X2 were even out. However there wasn't anything that good out at the time and little info out. Ballistix are good but I don't want to go through the hassle to get them in Australia with all the shipping, customs etc including the fact that they are nearing EOL and RMA is at customers cost....
I REALLY was waiting for OCZ to make a product cause I know they make good Hi-perf chips + their support is second to none.
So when do us Aussies get them? (EVA2000 will be the 1st....)
It's also good to know that the Samsung 1gb modules on 90nm process are going to start showing their faces and are good chips.

Eva has samples on the way as we know you all trust his testing etc. I have already spoken to 1 Aussie retailer about ordering and they have siad they will order as soon as we have the stock to ship from.
Expect reviews over the next 10days, i have shipped to Anandtech as well as Dean Nottis who i know has been heavily involved with 2gig kit testing and does post on XS also.
OCZ also have another IC that does 2.5-2-2- timings to around 215fsb but does not clock as high as the new 4000EB, would you guys like to see a 2.5-2-2- 200fsb 2GB product?
Got a problem with your OCZ product....?

I doubt we will see a winbond IC big enough to do a 2gb kit, plus high voltages and the high load on the memory controller would not be real healthy.

Seems to be some nice stuff If you want which chips, just pop off those heatspreaders and if it's micron you'll recognize it very fast
My Rig:
Intel Core 2 Duo E6400
2x512mb Micron PC3200 OEM D9DQW "Fatbody"
Biostar TForce P965 Deluxe
MSI/Medion GeForce 6700XL (Cheap )
Chieftec 360W (in search for someting better)
WD 160GB S-ATA
Yeah, but the only people who have it now are the ocz guys, and i believe theyre trying to keep it quiet atm. Im sure they know what it is.
as always grats OCZ

I'm going to go out on a limb and say these aren't Micron....
Hi Tony, hope you had a good breakOriginally Posted by bigtoe
One of my next purchaces will be a 2Gig kit to compliment my beloved X2 but I do not want to spend a premium for the EB (I already have some OCZ 3700EB anyway hehe), too many other things to pay for ATM, so I would be more than interested in an OCZ 2GB kit with 2.5-2-2- timings if the price is realistic
There are a few brands appearing that are very well priced, eg Patriot that have caught my eye but if OCZ can play in the same mid price ballpark then its pretty obvious which kit I would buy and review, when are they being released and do you have their Vdimm specs
cheers............alpha
lots and lots of cores and lots and lots of tuners,HTPC's boards,cases,HDD's,vga's,DDR1&2&3 etc etc all powered by Corsair PSU's
I'm ready to buy some of these right now.
When will I be able to buy them and who will have them available first?
I've looked at OCZ and all my usual suppliers and no one has them.
Wait about 10+ days....
