serious trouble memeroy controller or possible other part??

only way iam even able to type this is after 4 reloads of XP and swapping to a single stick of 3700eb and the computer will still ramdonly completely shut down with no warning. (shutdown= same as holding pwr button down till it shuts off)

    so basically a total meltdown.

with two sticks of ballistix i hit 900+ errrors see pics

with one stick I hit 3000+ errors both running auto on most setting and system well below the 2.88 threshold of the CPU at 2500mhz and ram at 250mhz with 2.75v

replaced the ballistix with one stick of PC3700eb and still got a few errors at 250mhz when in past those are stable at 258

something is broke Memory controller or DFI something

also got " Nvidia Raid IDE RON Bios 4.84
    detecting array
Black screen too when using the ballistix

what do you recomend to replace first??

its getting even worse now down to 220 FSB stock voltages to keep error free but the trend is getting worse and worse.

    suggestions????

i had a similar issue, had to loosen the mem timings and up the Vdimm to get my stability back. i lost 2 sata drives last week and i think my 2gb of ballistix is about slain, too. i'm going to order another mobo and rma the memory at the same time so that i get to start fresh...only problem is when the heck are any of these promising motherboards coming out?? dfi xpert (although I'm worried about getting another dfi, this is my second), asus a8n-32sli, or any ati r200 chipset? they're all late

Ouch, that's like cancer in the system.

ram errors increase with more Vdimm but the CPU is stable to 2.8ghz just not memory

i;ve used both EB and ballistix both getting errors bad

even at stock speeds I get an error at DDR 400 speeds and 2210mhz CPU

also I can boot to windows but out of the blue it crashs like a short or something caused the PSU to just shut down.

also having problems rebooting without removing all power then restarting after the crash

    this is massive suckage

Sounds like you have a voltage decay problem...
I said this before and no one believed me, so I say it again..
If you crank the voltage to 1.7v or highier you will cause your CPU to decay within a matter of months..
At the current rate your system will not be stable at any voltage or mhz with in the next month...
Rma if you can, and try to keep the voltage to 1.55v or lower
Fast computers breed slow, lazy programmers
The price of reliability is the pursuit of the utmost simplicity. It is a price which the very rich find most hard to pay.

Modern Ram, makes an old overclocker miss BH-5 and the fun it was

voltage was at 1.6v but I can see what you mean

I put in two sticks of ballistix and the system resets within mins I put in one stick of 512 eb and its been up for 30 mins so far.

should I replace the DFI and memory and CPU ???

or should I only replace one thing?? (cpu) ???

CPU most likely is fine... DFI only killed 1 cpu's memory controller while killing about 10 sticks of memory for me... (bleh) I suggest swapping DFI mobo as it probably is known memory killer... Out of 4 DFI board I had, 1 of them has been running for a while without killing anything yet. The other one looks fine but didn't get much time to say if it's killer or not. (the known killer is sitting in my part bin now and gets chopped off each day when I need components out of it)

when is the RX200 due in the USA ???

I really haven't liked Nvidia since the 4200TI i got had GART conficts with some of my video games and the 9700pro I replaced it with ROCKED for yrs.

Be nice to see if DFI can improve on quality with the new stuff.

260.00 mobo is worth it if I can run my memory and cpu at 280*10 otherwise I blew 300 on ballistix and 545.00 for little improvement and big expense to match my old system.
