    CS:S > BF2.

If you liked the old UT then UT2004 might be worth a try. It's the same thing with a couple new game modes and vehicles (in certain modes).

I only play CS:S these days.

I might buy Bf2 though as people seem to like it.

CS:S is terrible. Download Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory. Get it from splashdamage.com, and make sure you download the 2.6 patch.

Y'see, both of those games suck. BF2 is so buggy, it's unbelievable, and it's so overrated. CS:S is overrated, has some reasonable visuals, but nasty gameplay. There is no tactics. You can just run around with an AK and win. No fun. It too, is overrated so much.

m0p, you can just run around in CS but it's still a fun game because someone with any skill level can kill someone, and when you start playing for awhile...you gain tactics and skills....and bf2 is a team based game

I would agree with most of the people above. CS:S is a fun game, and while yes anyone of any skill can kill people, people with skill dont die.. What is a game supposed to be? Challenging to the point where you suck for 2 months before you get good ? No a game is supposed to fun from begining to end which CS:S is..

BattleField 2 is a fun game as well.. I like it for its versitale gameplay, you can be a pilot, a tank commander, or even go solo with some C4.. Its a great game and the team aspect makes it a real good time..

battlefield 2 for sure,...it has everything but the 1 shot 1 kill thing...Not a real hardcore shooter like CS: source or Raven shield where it only comes down to your own personal "skills" which is actually the exact same thing as "routine".. nothing more ...

Havent played much counter strike, but made up for that with raven shield,..after a while (granted, 2 years on and off)..it just gets so boring (i thought so at least)...Every match/game is almost an exact copy of the previous one....
Game begins : "frag up!" about 15 times, everybody is throwing nades at eachother at the beginning of every game... then running the exact same path you have done a million times before, "finding" enemies at the exact same spots at the exact same times everytime again...Only remotely satisfying thing is the score-screen after the match (or not off course)...Maybe counter strike is different from raven shield though...not sure ...

Battlefield is just an all out war, tired of shooting? go fly or drive, plant C4 traps, blow up , be sneaky at enemy base (rigging choppers with C 4 love that!), or actually join a squad and stay with them following orders ... great game, best multiplay shooter there is right now .... "team based" sure, iff you want it to be ... And skills matter just as much in Battlefield 2 as in any other shooter IMO

ut2004 awesome, and BF2, CS-s is good, but it seems to be repetative, which i hate about some games. And yes Wolfenstein Enemy territory, better than most games you have to pay for.
