i put glue gun glue on the vdroop spots because he will be using a water chiller with sealstring.
just wanted tomake sure nothing happened when sealstring was removed.

quick question vdimm is obviously the voltage supplied to you ram which is shown in the top image.
Now what does the vdroop mod do? could you post a cllose up image or some instructions on what to connect the pot to.

vdroop just prevents the vcore voltage from fluctuating under load conditions
do you have a link to instructions or could you post some instructions on where to attach it to. What pots to use and such.
With the vdroop how does attaching a pot stabalise the vCore? does it just up the voltage? surely adding some caps would do the job?

as for the vdimm mod, look at the picture i have posted.
the chip is LM358 i believe.
solder to pins 4 and 6 (pin 1 is the pin with the dimple on the IC).
i used a 50K vr and turn the resistance down to get more voltage
the max you can get though is .15 less than your 3.3 volt rail
ah perfect Thanks!

got a question. in this thread http://metku.net/index.html?sect=vie...p800/index_eng i can see that the vga voltg is at 1.8v. and the defult is 1.5 i have my 9800xt. is that right if i put 1.8v on it ? woul it helps with oc stability ?

yes you are...
you can use pin 4 as a ground.... you did nothing wrong...
u soldered the right place ...unless the solder is touching that thingy next to it. try taking every to pieces and re-do the mod.

k ...i just finished both mods on my P4P800 ...and vcore still fluctuates at a MAXIMUM of 1.71 - 1.90v, but usually stays between 1.76 - 1.84 (in MBM5 when set to 1.75 in BIOS) ...this still oki and normal?

it'll fluctuate when it's not under load... test it under load...
i had mine set to 1.65 in the bios.. at idle, it'd go as high as 1.75 but at load it was constant at 1.63 to 1.68
anyone know how the vdroop mod works? as in why by changing the resistance does it stop the fluctuations? the other mods are just changing resistances on opamps (LM324 and LM358)

i ran 1.8v (in bios vor my vcore) and it ran fine ...my 3.0c wud post upto 300 fsb (4.5 Ghz) and prob. higher but i didnt try, and was stable at around 4.3 Ghz at 1.8v ...but when i set the vcore to 1.825v ...my system reboots. wots up with dat.

Have someone made these mods on P4P800-X and can someone make some closer pictures and telling exactly what resistors they used for moding
