Welcome to XS D2OL team members thread

Our fellow D2OL member heater918 asked for a special thread, in which we could welcome our new members.
Well, as requested, here it is.

As said, this topic will be used for welcoming our new D2OL team members.
The new members can introduce themselfs here, or they can be welcomed by others (in case they wouldn't dare to)

As most of you may know (or not), Rodzilla and Conrad are very busy right now, getting things fixed at their new homes.
So, we're counting on the older members to help the new ones out, in case they have some questions.

Most of the answers can be found in the stickied threads (read them, they're very usefull).

So, let's keep this thread nice and clean, please.

Well, I backed off my clock a bit to stabilise the machine 100%, and downloaded it, joined XtremeSystems...

sepc is in sig (CPU@2.45Ghz ish, ram@200-2-2-5)

Should help out some. Will install on the GF's machine as well, as neither are 24/7 (This one's FAR too noisy!)

Guess the Competitive streak in me always wins...

    EDIT:
Can someone give me a quick primer/link to istalling on a second node?

Welcome to the team InSanCen Check outD2Ol Tweaks #7 will tell you how use same node for 2 or more machines. Not sure if that is exactly what you wanted but it is good reading anyhow. Be sure to report to the Everyone Reply thread.

Not a 2nd node, but to run the GF's box under this node... Think I will get it sorted with the other linkage though.

Neither are 24/7, so I wanna get as many candidates submitted as possible.
Hers is an AXP 2000, again, not a great deal, but better than nothing.

And yes, this chip clocks quite well, currently at 2.45 Stable (48hrs Prime) on air. If it dies, theres another that will do similar speeds.

Well hello everyone, this whole D2OL thing seems like a blast, i loved running SETI@HOME way back when on the 1.2 T-bird , but i got it running on my A64 3000+ venny @2.6 with a gig so i hope i can post some decent #, and i might be able to sucker some ppl into running it on their overpriced typewriters, otherwise knows as a college students laptop, cuz they will never notice... how many can i expect to pump out running dedicated about 11 hours a day and as a background to itunes, firefox and word for the other 10 that im not gaming?

You will find a file called 'node.prp' in your /d2ol/res folder, copy that to your new install and you will keep your node number

XS has my old 2.4 Northwood on the team now.
Hopefully I'll be adding an old 1.8 Ghz Compaq P4 soon.

This DC stuff is pretty addicting
    Gigabyte DS3, E6600 @ 400x9 - 1.4v, 2GB G.Skill 6400 GBHZ, 1900XT, 2x 74GB ADFD Raptors, Watercooling
    P4P800E-Dlx, P4 3.2E @ 3.5, G.Skill GBHZ 2.0-4-4-5 @ 273.5, 9700 pro

Okay....I just joined with my X2 @ 2.65GHz, this looks like fun.

I used the Rodzilla optimized installer for two nodes. I also made sure I was on the team, Vapor is my handle....anything else I should do? (it seemed too easy with that installer, LOL)

This looks like it could be addictive.

Anyway, just wanted to help (saw that we'd fall behind in 25 days) since I don't like losing. I'll see what other computers I can get crunching

EDIT: about how many cands do you think I'll do a day?
