Modding the 3.3V rail of the OCZ powerstream 520W

So the 520W powerstream allows the 3.3V rail to adjusted to 3.8V. I want at least 4V. Any ideas? Is the classical sense wire trick gonna work? It probably has an OVP around 4V.

I think the power supplies have a sense wire, so the normal sense wire mod should be ok. There might also be internal pots to adjust the voltages and OVP level.

I just checked my powerstream and there is a sense wire (coloured brown) on the 3.3v line, so it will be ok to mod it using the sense wire mod.
The user manual for the power supply says that OVP will kick in between 3.6-4.2v, so you might be able to get 4v without changing the OVP (there might also be an internal pot for OVP too)

Any updates on this? I'd like to get a little bit more from my 3.3 line since OVP kicks in at 3.7V for me.

Why are you needing that much power for ram, aren't components coming off at 4v

I need at least 3.6VDIMM for my memory. Once in a while, the 3.3V rail will overvolt just a tiny bit and cause my system to shutdown. I plan on purchasing some Mushkin Redline memory and if I happen to receive a kit that enjoys voltage beyond 3.6VDIMM, I'm going to need to bypass the OVP.

15 days later and I'm still curious. Does anyone know how to go about eliminating the OVP on OCZ's PowerStream 520 and 600 PSUs?

I didnt even know that overclocking a PSU was a thing, in hindseight it is ridiculous, but right now, it makes sense, and is super cool. Could someone hook me up with a link to overclocking the OCZ powerstream 520?

lol its not really overclocking...its just modifying it so it gives more voltage yo your components so they can be overclocked more :P
