I just bought a panasonic panaflo for my CPU cooler [Thermalright XP-90] and Im unsure in what way I want the airflow going. Lol do I want the air acting as an intake on the CPU or do I want it blowing air on it ???

Blowing at the CPU works best especially if you have a fan in the side of the case blowing in.
So I want the air blowing into the CPU acting as exhaust ?
try it going in and than try it going out. some heatsinks like them blowing away rather than at
Well I have a thermalright xp-90 and it would help to know.
Thermalright says it doesn't matter which way the airflow is. If you have a hole on the side of your case for a fan or air access, it will work better with airflow onto the heatsink. If you have the fan blow out, you can get dust build up around cpu area.
Sorry man but that doesnt help. I have a Lian Li PC-65B with 4 fans. 2 in the front [intake] 2 [exhaust] please help someone ??????????
Test it both ways and see which gives you better temps. In a traditional sense the fan blows air through the heatsink and towards the motherboard. Some heatsinks are the opposite and suck rather than blow. The performance will only truly show itself if you set it up and test it both ways and find which gives you cooler temps.
blowing heat away from the cpu is better... if u have side win, den the fan shd suck all the hot air out of the case. works the same if u have a rear exhaust fan at the back of yr case.
try it both ways and record the temp thru a round or 2 of super Pi or S&M or something like that
you do not deserve your system if you are asking this sort of question![]()
therefore i am confiscating it from you![]()
You can just stfu. I dont have a temp reader ?? Any suggestionsOriginally Posted by $a1Ty

Good Luck.
Its more effective to let heat go out rather than putting more and more of hot air inside your computer.

theyle both work fine...think logicaly bout which would suit you fan setup better
