I have 3 CPUs going right now, my 3700+ @ 2.86GHz, a P4 2.8GHz, and - don't laugh - a P3 750MHz "ghetto box" I'll post pics of it once I get my lens for my camera, then you'll see why I call it that I got the P3 online on the 15th and it still hasn't completed a WU yet, amazing how slow that thing is.

I plan to get a 3000+ folding too at some point here.... if my parents will let me do it to their comp Maybe install it on some friends' computers too...

I just started running. Will be left on a lot. Opty 165 @ 2745 mhz. Hope this helps! My username is norse for stats I believe.

Also, I noticed it's not using both cores, how do I fix this?

@ THX1138: In theory, it should run twice as fast. I'm not sure what a conroe would do in F@H.
@ norse: load it twice (there should be a guide around here on how to load it twice).

F@H uses very little bandwidth, only when uploading and downloading data.
Welcome to the new members. If we keep growing we can get into the top 100,that is our next goal.

Folding uses protein structures to help find out cures for diseases and such. It benefits mankind. There are many different folding projects. This one is ran by Stanford.

    Hello,

I only have a Athlon XP 3000+ - would that be of any use right now? It's going start of next month, so I'd just like to know.

BTW, I have no clue what "Stanford" is over "Rosetta @ Home". I thought folding for XS was the same thing. Either way, exuse my noobness on this with my willingness to help contribute!!!

But please do explain and lemme know if good ol' Socket A can help for a week or two!
It was a long road and one that is now over. Behold the updatedrig:

    Welcome to the team Moonraker

You can download the app here: http://folding.stanford.edu/download.html I always use the text-only client, to get going just throw it in a folder ( C:\fah\ ) and run the exe, it'll run you through a brief setup. Team # is 36362, thats the crucial bit, & your username of course. Check UnG's setup guide in sc00p's sig for more details on setup etc.

    Stats page: http://folding.extremeoverclocking.c...ist.php?s=&p=2

OK, having said that. I did the Graphic interface install and it says (after 15mins!!) 5 frames completed. Is that right? Here's a screenie:

Also, how does the points system work? - I know I won't be giving much on a Socket A - Athlon XP 3000+

Just joined up, I have 2 Conroe cores (E6600 at 3.2 ghz) running and a Northwood 3 Ghz P4. I also have a 800 mhz PIII lying around, would it even be worth hooking it up?
