Yeah, very nice. The metal fab alone is kick-azz.

I can confirm that mobo cooling is FINE down to at least -25C that's where my immersion cooling had the board and it was fine... colder than that and all bets are off

that's crazy, I only wish I had that type of enviroment to work in, and with support from all the aformentioned poeple, you're sure to come out with something good. as for cooling the motherboard, are you just relying on the evaps cooling the liquid, or are you planing to axctually have an evaporator with a greater surface are to cool the 3m dielectric liquid?

Ya, I would like to know where that fabrication is taking place too. Very nice job, the reflection on the evap rivals a mirror.

This looks like an amazing project. I hope all goes exactly as you planned.

On the capacitor note, years ago when we first did an immersion on a 486 (me and a bud from university), we exchanged all the caps on the electronics for military grade hardware that carried (at the time) ratings for -60 c. Considering how fast electronics has moved, I'm sure you could do better in this day and age. I doubt it's even a big deal, maybe one of the electronics phreaks here could fill us in.

Most capacitors are rated between -20Cand -25c, you can also buy capacitors that are rated way below -100C to replace all the mobo and gfx caps if you wanted too.

    Regards

    John.

Edit: relocate your bios battery out of the dielectric, unless you want to be re-entering the bios setup everytime you shut down the power

I have been working with ATI on this problem, I just can't go below -40C, anything below that and the caps are not rated for those temps. They will work just like there suppose to up to -40C any thing below that and they will have problems. Most of the caps on the motherboard I'm using has -65C caps. I will also be watching temps over the motherboard in for zones. I really want to find a company that will make one that can take -70C
