Buying a newark from shentech... advice please

    Hi all

It seems that the only place I can buy a 754 newark is shentech.com

I tried to order one on my mastercard but they wont accept it and want a money order instead.

Being naturaly suspicous im reluctant to send one, at least with the mastercard I get some fraud protection.

I know that some of you AMD guys have used shentech, did the transaction go ok, especially non US guys.

Or is there somewhere more convenient to buy a newark mobile for 754.

    Thanks guys.

Mods- I know this isnt strictly in the right section, but can you please leave it here as nobody will answer if its moved into for sale or speak freely.

I bought mine from http://www.computerbrain.com/ but I don't know if they ship overseas. There was at least one guy who bought a Newark from Shentech, I think he spoke of it in Ozzimark's (or maybe Conrad's) thread in Xtreme Overclocking.

Yep, I know that some people bought from shentech, It just seems very odd that my mastercard is no good to them. Especially as newegg (who dont even ship to the UK) accepted it no problem.

Thanks for the other options guys, I can allways ship to a mate in the US who can forward the chip to me.

If anybody has bought from shentech and shipped overseas please reply.

    Thanks again.

Is it worth buying a Turion rather than a newark...

    Anybody clocked a Turion?

From the little ive read they are worse than a newark.. just covering the options.

Newark is better than the Turion.
