look what I got today :

but had to pay for it

Aopen 7800GTX (but reference, so who cares).

I'm expecting an FX-57 on friday, so got some time to get used to these baby's
It's been a while since I used Nvidia based cards, so be patient with an old man...

going for the hall of fame, got an old prometeia to cool the FX and 2 watercooling units (MCW50 and DD maze 4-1 (need to undo the pelt)) to cool the cards.

    OPP, watch out

can't get that SLI to work

cards are installed, driver installed, bridge installed, paddle card in SLI function,....
    what is wrong here ?

is it maybe because my PSU is only 20 pins ? (can't be).

bios on both cards are the same.
booted with only one card, and it's still on 8x with the paddle card on 16x mode.
    maybe there's the problem ?

make sure that your motherboard is set for SLI mode. some motherboard manufacturers require adjusting to run in SLI mode. both 6-pin power connectors are connected to the geforce 7800 gtx? install latest bios, motherboard chipset drivers, and forcewares.

    hehe, that's my next upgrade

found the problem, the paddle card wasn't properly installed (although I did it several times).
    works fine now.
    thx for the help.
