Wow Sierra nice clocks, but i have tried them settings and booted fine it's

just not game stable or prime.

My 24 hour prime or at least i thought when i stopped it is 295 and it's also

game stable. Will try for more, but for now this is what i have.

What BIOS setting is that for your particular tref? Also, in bios, did you specify a drive strength?

I believe that tref is 2560, and I second the question about the drive strength. ... oh, data drive strength as well.

    Thanks!

I'm using 704-2BTA. DRAM drive strength is normal #3 and data drive strength is 2. Tref is 4708 in BIOS.

thanks for that i'm retesting my ballistixs on 704-2BTA as well as something interesting

623-3 both sets of 2x1GB ballistixs rock stable at 285mhz 3-3-3-8 with 2.76v with 8/5.5ns with AUTO/AUTO drive/drive data strength

    704-2BTA can't get stable at 285mhz 3-3-3-8 at 2.76v or 2.79v with 8-9 max async or 5.5/6/6.5ns premable with AUTO/AUTO drive/drive data strength - seems i need more vdimm - still testing

Here's a small update. Booted into Windows at this RAM speed with no problems. VDimm = 3v.

sierra_bound and Major, how prime stable is that? I can boot the same, but

not prime stable 24hours (reason why i won't post).

I think absolute stability on these sticks would make them more attractive at

those speeds u guys show. I understand it's also it's about the mem.

    controller.

I've got no interest in running prime for 24hours !

seriously, I don't know how stable it would be for prime. I was just playing around with the FX57 last night and was curious about the memory controller so I gave 300mhz a try

I only need 284-288mhz to top out the FX under my LS so I don't have any reason to spend time trying for more than that out of my Ballistix really. I may try for 309mhzx11 tonight though that would be pretty sweet if I don't have to loosen up the timings any.

I don't run Prime on my benching rig. I benched with my Ballistix when I first got them. They then spent a month in a 24/7 system at DDR580. Never got a BSOD or random reboot. I decided to bench with them again, just to show what the sticks are capable of. I've run them at DDR600 (SuperPi 32M stable) with three different CPU's. I'm probably done benching with the Ballistix because there isn't much more to prove. If someone can do DDR620, more power to them.

    Edit: fixed a typo

    Please, tell:
    1. What is the exact marking on the RAM?
    2. Was that a Dual Channel Kit or two single sticks?
    3. How do they look, can you post a picture?
    4. How do you know what PSB are they?

Very important to me, please don't be lazy and answer on all 4 questions.

DB Updated. Huge update this time, lots of new entries. I need voltage info from some people, so if you see a question mark next to your name in the voltage field, be sure to pm it to me.

Look man, if you're gonna run with a memory divider (DDR333 in your case) don't advertise about the fake frequency of the RAM... you're not running at over 300 MHz... more like ~240 MHz. Please be honest. I've seen a few running with mem dividers and still... no one notices.

Um...I think you're mistaken. The TREF or Refresh Rate is not the divider.
