SO CAS 2, 2.5, and 3 all work. Seems like the Patriots are very flexible and have a great bang/buck ratio. Gaaah! I don't want to buy more DDR memory! .... but maybe a couple of these sticks would get me off the bottom of the database.

Now just throw up a CPU-Z verification link and EnJoy can get you in the database.

Copy and past from the first post in thread. But now CPUZ 1.30 is newist version

To get a CPU-Z verified link, get CPU-Z 1.29, open it and go to the "About" tab and click the button that says "Validate".

So far I'm extremely disappointed with this HP3200. Came with silver heat spreaders on Brainpower 815(Why not 808?). Can't go further than 220 at cas 2.5 it seems Voltage does not help AT ALL.

Why did I even bother paying extra for this memory? Doh. Running on a Chaintech VNF4 2.5-3-2-8

Just got my Ballistix (Z503s) in and I am running into some memtest errors at 280... trying to iron them out... what is the collective decision on the best BIOS for these bad boys? I am currently using 704-1.

I found 704-1 to work fine, 704-2 and 704-3 worked fine too ! lol

It may be the memory controller and not the memory.

I start to get anywhere from 10-15 errors in Test5 in Memtest86+ at 280 at 2.85V. The memory is getting mucho hot at this voltage and temperature... by feeling the mem, it seems to be around 47-50 degrees celcius... Too hot in my opinion.
You think the high temps = the few random errors?

what are you running a 10x multi ?

If you try a low multi like 8x or 9x and the errors go away then its your memory controller, and there ain't much you can do about that !

My 4400+ controller craps out at 270mhz or so using the 10x but with 8x I can run the memory at 290mhz without errors.

I am currently running a 7x multiplier at 2.7V at 280 and am still running into some issues... i think they are heat related, as the sticks are quite hot still

Just recieved my Mushkin HP3200 kit in the mail today and I noticed it uses the Brainpower 815 PCB, whereas the older stuff used the possibly better 808PCB. Also, the head spreaders are silver.

This ram won't overclock at all compared to what I've seen from the old stuff. It maxes out at 220 Cas 2.5-3-2, raising the voltage from 2.6 actually causes instability in memtest! Is this even Infineon BE-5 anymore?

I'm extremely disappointed considering what I paid for this memory and that I could have gotten the same results from the Patriot 2GB with BP pcbs and BE-5 memory, or better...

Wow with all this hardware you get are you able to sell some of it I hope I do spend lots of cash on hardware but I have a big rule that I won't have anything laying around to depreciate and I always sell previous rig in parts or complete before upgrading.
