That chipset cooler is just sad. Typical DFI.

Yup, kinda old news. Has been out two weeks. I actually bought it and am selling it already. :-/
Currently building my i7 920 rig
i7 920 - Gigabyte x58-UD3R - 6GB Corsair DDR 1600
GTX285 - Intel X25-M + 1.2TB - Watercooled
Board sucks.. they hyped it all up on another forum, and the mobo is just smilpy a 754 board layout with dual channel.
theres no real reason to buy it if you allready have a AGP mobo, as your just wasteing money.
and to have a S939 chip.....
AN OPEN MIND, WITH A CLOSED FIST.
well my board doesn't suck :P, unless you think 2.9 Ghz with a 3000+ on air sucks.

these statements aren't coming from people that have owned neo2's are they?

maybe after it drops to 90 or so.. but 120ish seems a bit high to me..
my venice does 2.6ghz, buying a new mobo for a chance to get 300more mhz isnt worth it to me, but if i was going to buy it id rather just get the nf4, it has many other advantages over the dfi nf3.. more sata is mainly my reason not to buy the mobo.
NF3... Neo2s ruled. Unless it's NF4, we dont care about DFI. hehe

Anyways, the board does suck. Not that it's bad or something, just a regular nForce3-based 939 board - nothing more and nothing less.
I don't understand why did it take so long for DFI to release it...
Mine comes in Thursday![]()
I'm going to order mine tommarrow, but I've heard they got alot of bios problems, stuff with memory and.. things, anyone know what this is about?

Those of you who are considering the DFI board should really hold off until a half-way decent BIOS is released. I have been playing with this board for a few weeks now and am giving you my honest opinion. Your CPU clocks may increase slightly over the K8N Neo2 Platinum. However, the RAM timing issues bring the overall performance down significantly.
Bottom line: wait a few weeks for a better BIOS or just go for the MSI K8N Neo2 Platinum.
Whats the ram timings issue? I cannot get my bh5 past 210mhz on my neo2, so I really doubt it'll be worse with the DFI. And I'm pretty confident unlike with MSI, DFI will actually release a bios fix for their problems.
