Sweet find. My first computer was a Commodore VIC-20. I just read the specs and tripped out when I saw that the CPU speed was a whopping 1MHz.

    Mine too conrad.maranan !! lol

then the Commodore 64, Atari 800, IBM XT, Compaq 286, and so on..........

I remeber my very first computer mod was putting a reset button on my Vic 20 ! lol didn't it have like 8k of memory but you could only use 2k to program with ? something like that ! I never even had a floppy on it only a casset player as data storage.

Edit: I followed your link, it was only 5k of memory !

Yeah. Those cassette drives rocked. After the VIC-20, my uncle handed me down a 64. My parents later bought me an Apple IIe in the 5th grade and I kept that crusty thing until they finally bought me a 386DX-based system.

Man, I sure do miss Bruce Lee on the Commodore 64. That game was incredible.

I've got an XT sitting around somewhere. I remember playing around with that machine even when the 386 and 486's were available. In my opinion, the 486 and Pentium were the biggest jumps, everything else since then haven't been that huge.

Sad part is, After I got out of the AirForce (repaired airborn communications i.e. tube radios (arc34)), I went to work at BeeHive International, they built computer monitors, which had an 8008 micro proc in it! Yep, pre 6502/8080

    Old fart here.
