You gotta admit, it's fun watching 3DMark (any of them) run with an LOD tweak...looks like a watercolored cartoon.

And as for being king...once OPP gets some Cascade scores up, I'll have no chance with my wimpy MCW-50.

Geez Nice rig you have there! Hopefully it wasnt a extreme watercooling overclock, so we normal people will hopefully get that score . You might get 10000 And drivers play a nice role too.

I think he might have a bad card....early previews had 508 core and the same mem on stock cooling. He only upped that 30MHz, probably didn't do any sort of volt mods (not that I will, but it's an option).

Looking forward to the cascade result's so that they are compereable to Macchi's result's with crossfire.. Cu's so far Nvidia has been somewhat of a disapointment, but if you can get it past 10K, then it starts to look interresting And then run cascades in SLI, so that it is directly compareable to Macchi..

anyway nice scores oppainter! that 34k in 2003 with sli is just amazing! However one x850xt does beat one one 7800gtx in 2003 and comes close in 2005 and crushes the 7800gtx badly in 2001!

It's like 100 points, you don't get some enormous gain . LOD is crappy yes, but it's not taboo, it's just part of the nVidia charm.

For all this showing of the new cards is cool, which it *definately* is, Eric's 3682mhz 3D-2001-stable FX-55 is more impressive to me
And although they will undoubtedly be beaten in the long run, it is impressive how well the "old-school" X850's w/ 16 pipes holds up against these new beasts, eh?

Awesome score but this cards will have much, much more in it with some cascade cooling, newer drivers and some more tweaking.

Any (volt) mods on the cards yet?

where from? on overclockers who say they pretty much have all of the uk cards for a couple of weeks one of the ppl from the shop said that £450 was a bit low.

Pricing is up...but man, I really hope that Best Buy, Circuit City, Frys and CompUSA get ahold of these in the retail channel, so they can charge retail and not blow prices up online like a few newer eggs, direct tigers and monarch butterflies have been known to do.
