Unhappy P4 STOCK FAN too SLOW... HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Hi guys!

i need some help here. I have been trying to search the internet for answers for few days but to no avail. I had no choice but to post here hoping someone can help in my situation.

    My specs are:

    1) Intel LGA 775 P4 3.0E
    2) corsair 512mb 533 ddr2
    3) seagate 80gb sata X 2
    4) GIGABYTE 81915P-D PRO
    5) SAPPHIRE X700 PRO 256 PCI

Currently the fan i am using is running at only 2300 rpm. Which is so slow! My temperture is at abt 48 degrees (i know is consider low BUT it's not the main issue here. It's the fan i want to run at FULL SPEED) I had used "SPEEDFAN" to increse the speed but.....

whenever i tried to increse the speed of the Fan 100%, the FAN WILL SPIN TO 4000++rpm. BUT the speed will slowly decline to it's normal levels (2300rpm) even though it's still at 100%. I need to lower the percentage to abt 65% then increse again to 100% to make it spin at 4000rpm. But this only last for seconds! However, i'm sure that this stock fan is capable of doing 4000++ of rpm. But only going at 2300+. I understand that the intel fan has "variable speed control" .

Some ansers i got from other websites regarding same question others posted which DO NOT ANSWER to the questions:

    - Why need to increase fan speed? (That's what i want)
    - Buy a new fan or use water cooling (I know my Stock Fan can go to 4000+ why bother buying one? And i don't intend to CHANGE until the STOCK Burst :p)
    - Install Speedfan or MBM ( I tried, not helping)
    - More speed more noice (wHO Cares abt noice? as long the stock CPU fan is at FULL SPEED, i'm glad )
    - Some other things which is telling me abt PROs and CONs which i don't really mind. The MAIN thing is "SPEED SPEED OF STOCK FAN" not other stuffs. Jus focus...

Anyone can help me increase the "STOCK CPU FAN speed" PERMANENTLY? oR ANYONE THERE HAD TRIED SUCCESSFULLY?>?? i HOPE there are "answers" and not telling me abt pros and cons...

I also seen one really good IDEA but donno if anyone had tried and tested...

    - Plug the CPU FAN (4 MINI PINS) to the main power (MOLEXs) ------ (DOES IT WORKS? And how? i need some sort of converters rite? what convertor are they?
    - install speed controller? Can work? Tested anyone? How to install?

Lastly guys PLs HELP ME i know some of u DID IT!!! But how?

    Cheers!!!

    Jacky

errm, more than likely, plug the fan into one of the other fan plugs on motherboard, usually only a cpu one has an option for speed control if at all. so try other fan plugs.

do you want fan at full speed cos you think it will last longer or be safer? or are you planning on overclocking? either way, your temps are very safe now anyway, those buggers can run at 75c and not care. or if you overclock temps will increase and fan speed will increase in turn too.

I think there's a thermoresistor on the fans PCB you'll need to bypass. Atleast the last retail p4 i touched had something like this controlling the fan speed as the bios was set to fullspeed. Once you find it all you need to do is bridge the resistor and you'll have 4000rpm all the time

its nowhere near as bad as the stock AMD HSF. it got about 8C better load temps and 5C better idle temps with it on my NC compared to the stock HSF.
