    stunned_guy is right!

an 939 X2 will never go so high with air cooling and so high voltages

    I'd overclocked Athlon X2 4000+ 2.1 GHz @ 3.2 GHz
    Cooler - very simple!

    stable??? http://images.people.overclockers.ru/166337.png
core temp on 3420 45*C, pi >55*C, full burn S&M > 60*C for my air nimi typhoon
on my cooler i can do test on very stable 3192MHz 1,375V 56*C

Sweet OC, but I wonder what it does on air/20+ ambients. Your everest cpu temp is like 35c-40c lower than what I get with my Opty 1222 @ 1.31v No idea what that one can do fully stable, but it got through wprime 1024m + superpi 32m at 3336MHz.

You seem to get a few nice chips from time to time, shame the temps are so different, I wish I could compare them to my own CPUs.

hello, i may have a rather stupid question, but here goes.
can one compensate poor L2 cache (2x512KiB) with overclock?

as you may know, some online games like battlefield 2, crysis wars and many others just cant get enough of L2 cache when servers are packed with people. i get a HUGE fps difference when i going from 10 ppl server to 30 ppl server. like 60fps > 20fps. (whatever the graphics settings is, my hd4850 will keep the gpu usage under 60% at all times)

    currently running my brisbane x2 4200+ @ 3.2GHz (11x291) 1.44v
would an opteron which is running 500mhz less on clock run faster those games, because of the 2x1MiB L2 cache. thanks a bunch for replys

Raibemunn, most likely not. Opteron's aren't exactly strong in the gaming department. Your best bet would be to hold out for PII IMHO.

I get some stuttering myself with L4D and I'm running with a 5400+ BE at 3.4GHz. I think it's my 667MHz RAM though. The CPU will peg at 100% on both cores and start stuttering, even completely stopping and then laggin at times of intense action. I know it's not the video card, because I'm running an GTX260 with a 700 MHz core speed. Just an old K8 CPU bottlenecking my setup.

So far the X2 5000+ manages perfectly at 3GHz with no voltage increasements! (1.325v / 2.6GHz stock).
