I'll see if I can get OPB over here to do that as well.
s7e9h3n, those are damn good clocks and if you've got more keep em coming. Was the X2 able to give you better OCs with your memory?

All the X2s on Komplett are now back ordered. The same time yday they had 8 4200+, 4400+ (back ordered), 7 4600+ and 10 4800+.
Is it just me or does anyone else find the 4800+s overpriced? they are going for as much as £730 in some places.

Damn, they switched everything to back orders now? They were definetly available for pre-order the 2nd time I checked them yesterday, grr!

I bet they'll be back later today

Still no change, all are backordered. I haven't seen this many AMD CPUs go so quick in the space of a day, concidering the price as well.

This morning (June 16th 08:43 GMT) they're back...

...I'm off to pre-order one now before they start getting funky again with removing them and putting them back up for pre-order

Sounds to me like "unconfirmed" is just a delay get out clause.. people don't like to preorder but effectively what your doing is just as bad - ordering without an ETA.. having said that ETA is "expected" and just as bad..

Possbily, but ever since Komplett have had the X2s up for pre-order since last week (not including the on and off pre-arrival-stock status) they've always labelled it as unconfirmed

OCuk have also labelled their's as ETA 21st but since there's a slight premium on the price (inc vat) for theirs...

    Code:
               4200 4400 4600 4800
    Komplett 360.00 390.01 539.99 670.00
    OcUK 399.44 434.69 605.07 751.94

    Taken on 16/06/05 09:00 GMT
...they might be able to get yours to you quicker assuming OCuk also paid a premium to their supplier in order to be the first to get stock

I guess the race is on to see which store delivers first, and if those premiums are justified.

Thx JC, imo these x2's will perform better with TCCD rather than LL, high VDimm memory. These cores will function much better will the lower Vdimm required from TCCD. The LL memory will require the user to pump more Vcore into the onboard memory controller (OMC) which will result in somewhat less stability with an increased Vcore. As for more screenies, I've been long done with the cpu, and it has since gone to OPB. BTW, it was the first cpu to break 10k in PCMArk04 thanks to a PCIce cascade and OPB's skills......

Thanks s7e9h3n, good info. I'll see if i can get hold of TCCDs to compare how my X2 will respond to both of them. And burning in will be fun i bet,....two instances of CPU Burn?

Is it just the high vdimm? What about 2-2-2-5-1T @ ~ 210Mhz 2.6v? I'm asking because I'm replacing my TCCD with 2GB I don't plan on going over 3.0v, possibly even 2.8-2.9v.

I did experiment with my x2 and my gskill FF's @ cl2. I had a helluva time finding stable timings with low latencies. It partly was due to the fact that I rarely run my FF's @ cl2, but the x2 seemed to respond better to more relaxed timings. It also didn't help that Sandra wasn't totally compatible with these new cpu's. Weird things happened when benchmarking with Sandra, such as incorrect reported speeds, random lock-ups, and occasional bsod's.

I have no problem running my 4400+ X2 with Redline 3500 at 250MHz tight timings

No worries here with LL ram and X2's--- they seem to love it
    it's never fast enough!

With the mem. I can still run the CPU higher with a divider. My #'s are practically the same with/without using a divider. It might actually get close to 250Mhz with like 3-4-4-8. I've just got to the point that 2GB is more important to me than 2-3%. I'm not paying $400 for Ballistix when for $260 you can get pretty decent OCZ memory.

Superpi will use one core, if I am not mistaken, therefore Superpi test is sort of worthless here, since it cannot test the full potential of this CPU.

No probs for a RAM expert such as yourself But for many users who don't plan on actively cooling their memory and want the simplicity of "plug and play timings" I'd recommend TCCD

I'm benching my 4400+ at 2.6GHz, hopefully it will do more with better cooling. Right now I'm using a Zalman 7700-Cu.
