How are coldbugs on X2 chips

Ok Untill now I have never seen any advantage in Dual-Core but now with 3dmark06 its hard to get impressive scores without a Dual-Core, So I,m looking into possibly getting one.

although I want to use the chip under Phase/DI, so I would like to know how the coldbugs are on Dual-core chips (Athlon/Opteron). any sugestions what chip to get a Regular Athlon or Opteron (and what steppings should I look into), I also don,t want to spend to much money so I,m looking into 3800+/165

    Thanks,

    Its totally dependant on stepping.

An Opteron 170 0550UPMW or 0546XPMW is best with phase.

The 0550VPMW's get the highest at low volts but they are extremely cold bugged.

Latest 165s are just ok, mostly CCBWE stepping, reported coldbug around -20 to -30c.

Latest 3800+ are LDBHE, clocking pretty well it seems, 2.9+ on water, should do good on phase, BH memory controller should be able to get pretty cold before it bugs.

165 is limited by 9x multi, if you were using a single stage, i'd hit a 3800+ LDBHE.
