Cool TEC ID ? Also Coldplate question ?

    Hello,
My user name is where I'm trying to get too.

I can't find any info about a TEC I got cheap, (very cheap- If I told I'm afraid you'll be beating on the door to where I say I live,{ NOT that I do live or stay there, just puter storage with a asleep @ the puter chair n door unlocked brother for a watchDOG}!
    Anyway
The TEC has this number on it- "OTE-12706"
    "04/08/2004"
    is about 40mm x 40mm in size

Also has a funny little white, (looks like same ceramic type stuff as TEC)
block on the neg side wire about 5" from TEC
    It's markings are "SP.RS-9700"
    "250V5A 70`C"
If any of you COLD people have any info Id be greatly helping in my journey
towards the colder places I seek.

Also I don't under stand the "coldplate" for tec's??

Zalman VGA two pac w/blocks n ramsinks
Thermalake Flow indicator (also homemake versions 4 total but only 2 liked)
Three fountian 120V AC pumps (was very cheap also, I mean cheap,<5$)

Some homemade PSU,(with the Zalman blocks also) W/blocks
Two per stick RAM Brass/Copper blocks.

A coldplate is usually just a slab of copper. It is used to spread the heat from the TEC. Swiftec released a water block which made direct contact with the TEC itself. But for more info - look up the Danger Den MAZE4 GPU TEC block, as it will explain the coldplate and you can compare it to the one without.

So they also ran a w/b coldplate?
Thats what I'm setting up is the
stock Kingwin GPU W/B as the coldplate, (between: CPUwb|TEC|GPUwb|CPU)

Yea I Lapped my fingerprints off, getting the backside as smooth as the former "faceside". have about 3-4mm overhanging by TEC being on that side, while the "faceside" matches the TEC and also the CPU, (40mmX40mm)

I might run a seperate loop for it also, after more testing.
That loop might also run in the smaller of the 2 "Brass"/CUSTOM made RAM blocks.
Must test for placement, before or after the "GPU/Coldplate"
Each 3700/512 stick has 2 w/b on it and wanted to run in seperate loops for safety issues.
Also I wanted to keep the coldplate n w/b seperated
or the pre=chilling then one mem loop then the CPU w/b, GPU w/b, 80mm Rad/Fan (Fan control box controled) combo mnted rear low pulling across PCI n VGA cards, then PSU (more Custom n facktory W/Blocks , 77Bon H/C RAD on blowHole with one or two 120's @ 5VDC shroud pulling, then res/pump control panel, then the rad from inside of the control panel mounted as first in the low front, then the other 77Bon h/c Rad 120 pulling @ varable Volts DC user controled, OR V.I.A. the molex 4-pin plug switch 5-12V DC trick wire set-up.

YEA It's over kill to the MAX!

    But

Sounds like you are really getting into the TEC's! They are going to be producing some serious heat, as they are well known for not being very efficient at all!

    Na-
    Not so much the TEC's
    but,
The Xtreme cooling required for a allmost modern computer.
I keep melting the lesser ones, (my XP1800+)
So I wanted a liquid cooled one.
I started this last Xmas and between fixing and setting up new systems, (my not so well paying want-a-be part time type job), I was allmost ready for assembly when all the sudden I get this new "coldspot" by Kenmore.

now I've desided to let that sit idle untill I at least get this up n running with some referance temps n scores recorded.

Still thinking about leaving out any TEC's ,(only one I want to install at all, on CPU in coldplate sandwich) the other two I was thinking about using one in it's stock minicooler form as a exrta res thats TEC cooled n putting a rad in it's liquid n maybe its liquid as a loop also.

untill some scores are recorded no TEC's
