    "budget" custom WC kit...

i am considering water cooling for my backup rig. the reason is this: i want cold and quiet. i do not need a gpu block, it will only cool the cpu, which is an AMD athlon 64 s754 3400+ clawhammer. i may overclock it a little, but nothing i would consider extreme (my ram sucks anyways in this rig). my other option is a quiet fan, but that isnt as cool as wc. since i have been out of the loop on wc'ing for a while, i would like your input on a complete kit:

    - pump
    - radiator
    - tubing
    - cpu block (s754)
    - reservoir
    - liquid additive
    - whatever i may be missing here that is required for a basic setup

it does not have to be the coldest, but again, i want quiet, and as cheap (budget-friendly) as possible.

just read a review on that wc-202. i was thinking more down the lines of a wc setup with separate parts. thank you, though

    I reccomend the following:

MCW6000/6002 - overall great performing cpu block, and cheaper than the competition
ThermoChill PA160 Radiator with a Panaflo L1A or quieter - great performance even at low airflow.
Laing DDC/MCP350 Pump - these are quiet, compact and offer good performance for their size.
Throw in your tubing, some zerex coolant additive, and your favorite bleeding method (res/t-line) and your done.

    Good luck my friend.
    Formerly XIP, now just P.
