Nice score macci and nice card clocks.

I'm interested in 2001 score and whether

    a) It only helps with drag low and nature as per nvidia
    b) Whether AFR, SFR or supertiling works best.
    c) What is the cpu hit when using two cards.

    Regards

    e-mail from ATI:

"Last night, Live on stage in Taipei, Macci set new world records for both single and dual-card systems

Building on one of ATI's brand new Radeon CrossFire mainboards, he achieved 9,265 with a single X850 card in 3DMark05...

...and a massive 15,498 using a pair of X850 cards in CrossFire formation

The single Radeon X850 card was clocked at 860MHz core and 710MHz memory on a CrossFire mainboard with enthusiast features

The CrossFire Multi-GPU record was set with the GPU cores running at 769MHz and the memory at 695MHz

Later on in the evening, the euphoria of setting a new record encouraged Macci to push even harder

He pulled out the liquid nitrogen and really went for it - clocking an awesome 9,591 with a single Radeon X850 card with the core banging along healthily at just over 900MHz - the first time a GPU has gone over 900MHz anywhere in the world ever !!!

These world records show that ATI's CrossFire chipset solution is a serious choice for serious enthusiasts"

I'm in Taipei and didn't see macci or any live overclocking with LN2, strange

Hmm, strange, i think that macci make that record in canada, not in taipei, also he not use LN2, he use his cascade, am i right? I could be wrong also..

btw, Sampsa, you bring some new toys from taipei to here finland?

Ah, so it was ln2 for the video card at 900MHz, so maybe not so cherry picked after all.

Really though with G70 and r520 coming out soon (ish) this somewhat of a last hurragh for todays high end video cards.

    Regards

    Thanks guys

Yea it was LN2 for the single card at 904MHz
almost finished a run at 918 too..
    would do 856 or 864 w/ cascade.

Dual cards cooled w/ chilly1 XtremeFrostByte 3 at -83 / -85 running at 769/702 - so there is some room left

Macci, You in Taipei aswell ??
YEa they have this cool teleport thingy here - gets your from Markham to Taipei in just a few seconds.
