Peak maybe... or maybe that inductor is taller than it looksATI gave me the figures although they are peak i feel. I can tell you under 100% memory load im only seeing 35C max on any component around the vdimm section.
/curious cat mode on
100% load being what? 4 double-sided DIMMs @ Vmem? Mem Type? FSB? running?
/curious cat mode off <--- almost impossible
so you can only go .05 V over stock??!?! or am I having a stupidity attack?Originally Posted by bigtoe

Think of something witty and imagine it here.
i think it kinda depends on the stick, but i hope what you're saying is wrong.Originally Posted by craig588
also, it would help to know what voltage that 40A rating is at. for all we know, it could be 40A at 3v, which should be enough
Got a fan over those memory sticks? No? Well get to it before you kill them
So does ATI have better mem performance read/write like you said it would in an earlier preview?
I guess taste is personel but that cream color looks like snot, no thanks.
Here is where it's at

Seeing that DFI's board will do Xfire without mastercard, do you think Sapphire's grouper version of Xfire can do it also ?
If the boards hit the street before the mastercards then all will rush to get the one that can do it without mastercard.
When mastercards comes to Sweden you guys in US is already running dual r520 or something.
I think..

Everything extra is bad!
I really like the adition of a MOSFET cooler with standard mounting pins.

omg! gimme more!
what is about the vcore? where is the max?
nothing to say
max Vcore is +0.3V over max VID..its in the pics
board color can change, the RD480 was black and red so Sapphire could end up using the same for this also.

Without a Compositing Engine chip (this chip synchronizes the frames) on either of the graphic cards you will only be able to see half of the rendered images. In other words, the screen would just fllcker although benchmarks would still report a higher score or average FPS.Originally Posted by Ubermann
You will need a Master card for Crossfire to function properly.

im tottally in love with the sink on the mosfets idea being the same as a NB. would be sooo easy to switch to better TIM, or even put a better hsu on there, or maybe even watercooling?!?!

Around six months ago ATI approached me for input with regard to what i would like to see on a motherboard. i suggested many of the features you see that are on this board. These included:Originally Posted by WeStSiDePLaYa
The ability to water cool the mosfets etc.
Well engineered Vdimm power regulation
VTT tweaks
Multiple voltage options
totally seperate clocks for PCIE, sata etc etc
and a host of other enhancements to create a "pure" enthusiast board . Now, its a board you have to tweak, but its really worth while seeing how you can dial in stability etc.
