Thanks for the info Tony. Looks great so far!
Does the integrated video handicap overclocking in any way?

the other value is VTT..you can swing it either way of Vdimm/2 by upto 10% or so in tiny steps. So you could set 3vdimm so VTT at 0% would be 1.5V, now you set -5.5% for 1.4175V...you see what I mean?

These are two different settings. vDimm is the actual memory voltage and Vtt tracking should be 1/2 of vDimm.

I haven't used it but Im assured it does not, you also can overclock the onboard if you wish. There is a surround view option which was present on the bullhead also, if you want a multi monitor setup on the cheap this may be the board for you.

http://www.sapphiretech.com/ has press release about dual GPU but i cant get it to work.
Tony do you know if they will make a board for us that has all this options and features AND dual GPU ?
Its so much happening right now and choosing a single GPU boards might not be the best choice when we have Crossfire all over internet for the moment.

Thanks for the knews bigtoe, can't wait to see what kind of performance one can pull out of this beauty. The fact it's not finalized yet means we probably won't see them on the shelves for a good while tho'

If it does i can't find it in this bios..LOL, it is an engineering sample though so it may just be something they overlooked. i do have temps in XP so the monitor IC is there ready.

There is a crossfire version of this board, it has ALL the same overclocking options as you see here

    Thanks for the look see

Several very interesting options... and it looks like they are using a switcher for the mem voltages Hmmmmm.....

The board is real cool, by that i mean next to nothing gets real hot even at 3.6V. The vdimm has the capability to deliver 40A im told so its not stressed much.

40A? not many PSU's supply that on the 5v...LoL. It would be overkill, if it weren't meant for overclocking, i guess.

I like the additional voltage options for the PCIE bus as well something else the DFI doesn't have.
thats not a % addition to vdimm, that is Vtt voltage, which is different.

IIRC its like the difference between VDD and VDDQ in GDDR

can you see the light? is it shining too bright? can you see the light at the end of the tunnel, i know i do, i know its true.

hehehe you know, I thought that at first but then thought nah, can't be that option in a bios so thought it was what I mentioned above. It truly is cool to have VTT track in bios.

You might want to question whoever gave you that figure... The switcher's inductor doesn't look big enough in the pic for 40A continuous... maybe 20A... 25A max.

Would it be possible to get a close up shot of the area of the board with the Vmem/Vtt regulator? And a full shot of the back of the board?

    Peace

your asking for a lot there m8. ATI gave me the figures although they are peak i feel. I can tell you under 100% memory load im only seeing 35C max on any component around the vdimm section.

    2.5V*40A = 100 watts

Memory sticks are rated at something like 15-20 watts per stick of 512M, no? With 4 sticks you are almost at your limit, start increasing the voltage and the amperage handling capability goes down, along with the wattage handling capability because of the extra heat making them less effeciant.
For those of you about to post:
