No offense, but this looks like a complete waste of time (the program, the guides look good tho). Overclocking is 99% luck. The only way to know what your CPU will overclock to is to just overclock it...
Opteron 170 @ 3.0Ghz on air, Opteron 144 @ 3.1Ghz on air
It is not waste time.
An American proverb says "Never waste time"....
This program is based on steps and you must follow them otherwise is not useful.
The only thing is patience and if you read my "CPU burn-in guide" I spent about 2 hours and I filled my first map with many measurements so where is waste time?
If someone thinks that a multimeter or MSF is something special then he/she must delete this program and never download it again.
OK I know that all CPUs are not same but if you see n becoming smaller and so on what you will expect?
On the other hand this package includes many other programs useful for novices e.g. PSU Estimator, Unit converter, O/C analyzer (OK don't use my estimators but after input your MSFs) etc...

question
where to put the probes in order to multimeter the abit nf7?
What im saying is... if your main mission is to save time, run it on the highest volts you are happy with running, put your ram on a divider, lower LDT to 3x if on A64, and raise the FSB in 5mhz steps from about 20mhz over clock (i.e. start from 220mhz fsb if 200mhz fsb is stock) until superpi or Prime95 start failing. Then raise your memory divider to one that it can handle without making superpi/prime fail. Seems more logical then wasting time using some program.
Opteron 170 @ 3.0Ghz on air, Opteron 144 @ 3.1Ghz on air
Ι don't have ABIT like yours now as you know.Originally Posted by Skinny13
I reckon that the proper MOSFET is the first one or the second.
Follow the instructions in previous page if you measure something quite different than Vcore value in BIOS then it is not the proper MOSFET.
Seek!
TMM OK I read your post; this is an another idea.
Bumping Vcore to maximum value does not gives your CPU response.
For example current CPU is 32M SuperPi stable at 2670MHz, Vcore1=1.663, with Vcore2=1.744 is stable at 2710 MHz and for Vcore3=1.816 --> 2730MHz.
So n is very small.
That's why I persist to find (MSFs, Vcores).

Let's start about subzero cooling!

And now my reply SoF!
Let's play in depth dude.....
Thus your estimated temperature for 200 Watts is -32.605 up to -32.606 Celcius!
wow - gimme an FX and I will check
Hey cut this comment about the bugs in 1.42 out in my quote
I will never forget my first venice runs......remember?

Well what's your opinion SoF I am thinking to update A64 o/c suggester or a new program....
Focus to this post and the total thread is is here for more details.
There Sierra analyzes step by step what is going on using half multipliers....
Thus when you know roughly that your RAM MSF is 300 MHz (for example) and you use half multiplier the actual frequency for RAM is lower.
Thus what's your suggestion for v1.44??
1) Should update A64 o/c suggester?
Then program automatically when you use half multipliers will follow the second if command (no source available).
2) Or create an new tool e.g. A64 RAM frequency?
"For you:
When you are ready play more (and post results) using CPU temp estimator or data modeling better....
Use shifting property for subzero values.
Transforms like Laplace and Fourier use this technique when it is necessary.
The reason is simple; all internal models will crash for non positive data.
Calculate your wattage and please use multimeter for Vcore. "

I had a look to my old pascal times and where able to re-activate my little bit knowledge of programming
I will try to write a calculation for the problem how I would handle it.
You will get the source and can see if it is possible to implement it in the suggester.
I wouldn't recommend to make a seperate program only for the ram this is better to be included in the suggester.
But no time now - have to go back to work (just went home from school a short moment) I will be totally finished on the week-end

SoF could you explain more what your calculator does?
It is written in Pascal??
Thus we can convert your source code to C# and then I will add it in next versions of Bible.
Do you know C# programming?
I am waiting your answer!
Congrats with your new work!

Yepp written in pascal simply using other method for X.5 dividers.
CPU vs RAM ratio will not be used anymore.
But I have to read the article again you gave me some time ago.
I can check calculations afterwards with my system again, RAM is running 260MHZ again with 2.88V
cya
PS: I will learn a little bit about C in school 2 weeks before christmas. I hope to grab some usefull staph but I think as usual it will be too slow for me and I won't learn enough :>
