    Got my new RAM, Bh-5

I got my new Twinmos Speedpremium pc-3200 sticks. I was ecstatic when I recieved them due to the fact that they are BH-5. They actually say BH-5 on the chips.

Each stick will do 240mhz 2-2-2-5 @ 3.4v totally stable. When I add a second stick in (for 1gb), It won't even do 220mhz without hundreds of memtest errors. What am I doing wrong here? Each stick is totally stable @ 240mhz individually. I've tried different RAM slot configurations, etc.

Could someone give me an idea on what I'm doing wrong here?

Exact same crap happened to me with my KHX3000. No way to beat it other than 2T that I know of. Volts don't help, nothing does.

What did you end up doing? How much of a performance hit would changing it to 2T make? How do I change it to 2T?

I think this would indicate that the problem is the memory controller inside your CPU. Try raising your VCORE a little bit, see if that will help.

My old sticks were Patriot 2x 512mb with crappy infineon chips. They maxed @ 216mhz 2.5-3-3-5. It made no difference what volts they were @ over 2.8

Why would my memory controller be causing this? Do you guys have some bioses I can try? This really sucks.

Are your sticks double-sided? If so, they are notorious for bad clocks. It is also possible that your mem controller doesn't like them.

    Yes, they are double sided.

Would upgrading to 939 fix my issues? I just wish the 939 agp DFI board was out.

I'm not sure. I doubt it. But I would be willing to bet they'd do better since 939 chips have better memory controllers. I have 1 gig of double-sided bh-5 down at my office. I'll have to bring it home on Monday and try them out in my 939 and let you know. I run them in a nf2 setup and about 220mhz if I remember correctly.

BTW, how much volts are you feeding your ram?

I'm feeding them 3.4v @ 2-2-2-5 250mhz 100% stable when the sticks are in individually, with both in, it won't even get past the windows loading screen. With both sticks in @ stock speeds, stock volts, and stock timings I get errors in memtest.

    1) DFI will NEVER release a nF3 939 board, bet on that

    2) Please tell us ALL of your memory timings... or at least post a A64 Tweaker screenshot so we know what settings you are using

    3) Tell us your:
    CPU multiplier
    LDT multiplier
    vCore, vChipset, vDimm
What memory slots you are using
What Smart Guardian reports your 3.3vRail level as... is it over 3.4v?

    4) It is most likely either your timings, or more likely your CPU's memory controller... if it's memory controller more vCore may help, some people have suggested that already, if you want people to take the time to help, take the time to try what they say and report back

    Good luck

I read to the contrary. There are specs and all here. Is this information wrong?

I know of a perfect solution to this problem. RMA or return your sticks and get something else. BH-5 (at least when two of them are used) doesn't work well with your mobo.

I was so mad cuz I got on BH-5 and one UTT (Twinmos SP from Newegg)

THe utt needs an RMA though cuz it won't run memtest at any speeds.
