Get the 3000+ 0517DPMW then, from what clocks the other guy reached with that stepping it must be amazing. Unless he got a very lucky chip, it's really up to you though.
On an impulse buy i bought 2 venices to play with, from the stepping database http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/...ad.php?t=62353 they both look like low vcore high clocking steppings

Hey up dude, im one of those guys, a friend of mine has 3000+ CBBLE 0515DPBW and this chip again has clock speed of >2900mhz. This seems to be the stable limit of these chips on air/wc.but all the guys reached >2900MHz with the CBBLE 0512 DPBW one!
I'm so confused
The newer chips (0517) are showing good signs, but with not so many results abt it is a little bit more risky (lol, wht risk we getting >2.9ghz chips
I strongly believe another 3000+ CBBLE 051xDPBW chip will do >2.9ghz, as for the other stepping u got to take the chance

Wow, with results like this coming out of some of the 517 chips I'm tempted to hold off a little while and see if I can get a local shop to check their suppliers for stock.
Or, is there somebody out there that'd be willing to take payment in advance for one of these 3000+'s?
I'm dead serious...if I can get a buyer for my chip I will pay somebody in advance to order me one of these 517 DPBW's.....my chip sux.
Wait, are all of these 2.7 and 2.8 clocks at 1:1? Just wondering cus I can clock considerably better with the 180MHz ram divider...but I'd prefer 1:1.
