We should all post our idle/load temps of the NB with our cooling solution. I have AS5 on my stock heatsink and idle is 35-40'c (depending on time/heat of day).

That cooler is probably exactly the same as the vantec cooler. Many times, companies just relabel heatsinks which are manufactured in the same factory. My spire cooler is also identical to the vantec. Check post #8 of this thread - the revoltec should mount exactly the same....
My system becomes complete at the end of the week.. here`s a sneak peak

oh you are right it is in this thread, its too late for me buddy damit multitasking ; )
where exactly have you dremeled your spire cooler s7e9h3n? the stock one is too loud for the poor performance..
@ArcticOC
this is relly kewl!
@unreal
will post my temps tomorrow with closed case
^^Hey, that looks sweet, and cool.
I didn`t read the whole thread, but my DFI SLI NB fan failed too, I replaced it with an old Saffire 9800 pro heat sink and fan. Temps are about the same, and no RPM sensing, but what the heck, it works.

i bought the icebergq4 pro for my a8n sli and temps are 32° is not dead silent but is pretty silent compared to my old chipset fan i had to dremel quite a bit and i can use my 2 vid cards it worth the change
you can also unplugg the normal chipset and put a 80mm fan near it blowing air and it will work exactly the same very silent (i had a 80mm TT 22cfm temps were 33 32)

dropped my temps from 55 to 41.
agree ! the other coolers dont look that better......but the thermalpad they use is horrible. Just remove stock NF4 HSF, use a razor/alcohol and remove the pad, insulate the surrounding area with electrical tape and put a thin layer of AS5 on the chipset. Re-mount the fan.Originally Posted by saaya
