Pelt setup; finally done: Need help with pumps!

    Hello all!
After opening a couple of threads, and screwing a tec, I finally finished my setup!

    Im using a 320 W tec @ 11 V, so about 169 W electrical and 200 W pump with a delta T of about 40isch degress

So last week I isolated my mobo and started testing, my idle( no load) temp went down to 0 degress afer about 10 mins. When I boot It goes to 19 degrees and after 10 hours dvd converting @ 100% load it only went up to 23 degress, and fell 2 min later (when it was finished) back to 19 degrees?!

My mobo is a Asrock k7s8xe+ with a amd 2600 mobile@ 2532 (211*12, default voltage , will go up to 1.8-1.9 when I get some pots). I covered the middle of the socket with neoprene and silicon, maybe I covered the diode? I have a hyundai heater core with 12 fans@ 5v and the temps on it are about 26 degrees, room temp 22. I am using a 600l/h pump right now but will be putting my other 600l/h in it after I get some Y splitters.

Its a hyundai something, it was made for a airconditioner, got it new for 50 sfr instead of 300
There are 12 fans, now running at 12 V, and they are LOUD! But who cares?

Just did a vmod, can get it stable at 2700@ 2.00 V, which sux, so im running it at 1.8 V 2630 something mhz, right now im at 19 degress 40% load, I hooked up a new psu (5.2 V 90A with my meanwell 6.xxV 50 A normally 5V) and im getting about 11.6 V on the tec.
Heatercore in is 32, out 28, block is 45 degrees
I need to hook up my other pump i guess?

I have a similar peltier (320 watt) and im having a damned time trying to cool it, http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/...ad.php?t=61854.

Looks like you are using 1/4" tubing? From the looks of it that water block and water flow wont be cooling it nearly as well as it should be. And its not putting enough heat into the water to put that insane (yet awsome) radiator system to work.

Id recommend at least 1/2" tubing and a different water block.

My god that is one big rad, definately not a portable setup. Try using a bunch of quiet fans instead and maybe a couple more of them. Temp may not even change.

I dont really care about the noise! Got the fans for free..
Yes it is 6mm tubing, standard in europe, I will try to get the second pump up this week..

    Another update on the temps:
    Idle 17
    Load 25
    @2654mhz 1.8 V

Had air in the system so that gave me another 2 degress

hmm 25° Load isn't really good
the experience with tec's could be nice, but it didn't improve your cpu speed with this temps....

Pelt setup; finally done: Need help with pumps!

Ok just tried to hook up my second pump in serie... but something isnt working
Ok I have 2 eheim 600l/ph inline pumps, 1 in a homemade reservoir the other is this one: http://www.xtremecooling.ch/cgi-bin/...&serial=110750 sry german, but who cares

Now my problem: when pump1 is pumping and pump 2 is sealed(lid) then it just pumps through, when pump 2 is open, it fills pump 2. But when I start pump 2 it takes about 10s till its empty?? I have no clue what to do now, ive already tried to seal pump1 with silicon but it hasnt brought anything yet...
When I turned the psus(with tec) on the block got really hot, ofcourse, then I turned pump1 on, no big affect, then pump2 which was nearlly full now, and then the block went down to near ambient temps, turned pump2 back of and it got hotter again(very hot!!!). I put the pumps like this in series

    pump1------heatercore-----pump2-----cpublock-----back to pump1

    pls help!!!!

uh oh sounds like you might have shorted out some pins on your cpu
take it all apart and check your insulation it sounds like something shorted
btw you should put a large 12-16 inch fan on that radiator. you can get those at the hardware store or whatever they plug into the wall that should work awesome and also put your pumps in parallel for more flow rate not in series as that just gives more pressure .

Looks nice but sounds like condensation just did you a pin mod. Hairdryer time.

Nope I really put alot of vaseline in the socket, but I dont care anymore, took the pelt setup out. Just didnt get enough cooling dont now why, but just wasting something over 400W of energy for the same oc results, no way...

Oh just for it, I have a Iwaki 20-R now
