That is not SLI. that is basicly the same thing as DFI's DXG on the NF4 isnt it?

Yes, I should watch my words more closely. You are correct, it is not typical SLI but you can run SLI from it.

fyi - computerhq.com got back to me and the P5WD2 Premium they list with wifi-tv card, doesn't have the card, it's optional. Based on that, no one carries the "Wifi-TV Edition" of this board.

I just can't see the problem!

A motherboard can have different boxes for different bundles with different optional features included!

    Just my $0.02!

Its not listed anywhere that it would come in 2 different configs. Infact Asus doesnt have the SKU number in their database.

I'm sorry, but in Asus P5WD2 Specifications it clearly says:

I'm not blaming you for not reading carefully the specs of your new mobo, I've done the same already! I only think that you shouldn't blame the others because of your errors!

I'll say this again. The P5WD2 Premium is the first motherboard in their Ai Life Series. The major feature of the Ai Life series is a Wifi-TV Card. Asus's website does not list different versions of this mobo. Their Vendor SKU list only lists one version. Vendors don't know if the mobo has the wifi card or not b/c if you check the different websites, some list the wifi card and when you check with them, they then find out that the mobo doesn't have it. No one at Asus USA knows of two versions. They only have one version in their system.

But there are two versions, a P5WD2 Premium "Wifi-TV Edition" and just a Premium. Asus has always differentiated their mobo's but not this time. They should have called this board "Deluxe" and the Wifi-TV Edition, Premium.

If Asus USA and their vendors don't know if the mobo comes w/ wifi-tv card or not, how is the customer expected to know. On the front page of the P5WD2 Premium at Asus's website, the Wifi-TV Card is mentioned through-out. Only if you look at the specs, do you realize this is an option.

It's very misleading and I don't even have the option to buy this "Wifi-TV Card" b/c the RMA dept at Asus doesn't even have it or know about it. Nice, eh.

While it says optional not once to they mention a case where it would NOT come with one. It is a premium board, what else would one expect premium NOt to be? Premium means everything, not bare-minimum like Asus is doing.

Anandtech.com just put up a review on the board. I added the below to the comments area on the review and sent it to Asus.

"I actually plan on returning the P5WD2 Premium that I purchased. I bought this board for going to dual core but was really sold on the Wifi-TV card that was supposed to come with it. It's the first board in Asus's Ai Life Series and the major component of this series is the Wifi-TV Card.

Well, surprise my Asus Premium doesn't come with one. It's optional. I spoke to people at Asus US in Technical Support, Customer Service, Pre-sales and RMA groups and they all confirmed to me that there was only one model and it's optional. Every retailer that carries the P5WD2 Premium has it without the Wifi-TV Card. Yet, the reviewers have them, making you think that the card comes with the board.

Also, things have been down-graded on this board from previous premium boards. The mosfet heatsink is aluminum compared to the copper heatsinks used in my P5AD2-e Premium. Contrary to what some have said, the P5WD2 Premium does not have IDE Raid when the P5AD2-e Premium did. The P5AD2-e Premium also has 1394b where the P5WD2 Premium does not. And obviously no built on Wifi.

Why did they call this board a Premium when it's missing all of the premium items that we're used to getting? Why didn't they just call it the Deluxe since this board does not have the premium features as it's other premium boards?

I believe Asus is misleading folks. I have yet to receive a reply back to several emails that I have sent also.

Sad thing is that I was a huge fan of Asus til getting this board which I must pay a 15% restocking fee to return."

Small Win. If you go to Asus's website, they have updated it. They now list two editions of the P5WD2 Premium board and list the Wifi-TV Card as either bundled or optional. Of course, they have yet to email me back. Or offer the Wifi-TV Card. Bastards!
