OCZ Value VX Overclock - Post Here your Results!

Hi, I am searching for people that have tried the OCZ Value VX, the ones with UTT-BH (2.5-3-3-6) and I want to ask you guys, the ones that have tested them, how far have u Overclocked them? And if they were a good Buy.

I saw in a review of Anandtech that they used 245mhz with 3.3V. What results do u have?

    -Greetings

Ps. IĀ“ll build a Table with the results when u post them.

My set sucked. Would only run CAS 3. Even with 3.8v.

Switched to the 4000 Gold. Results have been much better.

I'm not sure what chips my Value VX has, but every once in a while 240MHz 2-2-3-11 is stable. I say every once in a while because my motherboard is dying slowly, and one day an overclock will be stable and the next day it won't be.

i tried mine yesterday on a friend's mobo and it is fully stable out of the box @ DDR400 @ 2-2-2-7 @ 3.2 volt and we were able to reach DDR500 @ 3.5v but with thousands of errors but as soon as we put active cooling on both the ram and the mosfets the errors were down to ~20error in every loop of test 5
since yesterday i kept them with my friend burnning them using snarda DDr400 @ 3.2 volt

thos ram are really awesome for the price and the perfromance since out of the box they perform like the PC3200 Gold VX

i think i'll buy a heatspreader for them for better cooling beside the active

    EDIT Update

My Results after 1 day of using

after less than 8 hours burn-in using sandra FSB200 @ 3.2 @ 2-2-2-8 the ram today is stable DDR500 @ 3.4v and DDR510 @ 3.5 which is an amazing result after only 1 night of working on it

i used the setting from here for the timings and i got a great increase in the bandwidth in the Read & Write test of Everest

gonna burn them till tom on DDR500 @ 3.4v :d

    for everyone GET THIS RAM

you got a bit lucky with your sticks
most of them aren't as good as yours.
And for better cooling you shouldn't buy a heatsprader because it doesn't help you cool down your sticks... just ram coolers help.

The VX ram OCZ uses is CH-5 G.Skill uses the BH-5 you can tell from the listed timmings if they are 2-2-2 they are BH-5 anything else at 2.6 volts and they are CH-5...unless OCZ loosens the timmings by defualt to allow to sell it as cheap value ram

My OCZ Value VX set really sucks. Very unreliable. Would not even run at stock timings shown on the label at 2.6v and 2.8v. I think they are even faulty. I'd recommend anyone buy somethinf decent and not waste, their time, money, and electricity, like I did.

If you are just expecting something that just run at stock speed wih OC-ability as a not-too-serious plus, yeah go for it.

I have some of this stuff, its ok, it did 217-220Mhz at 2-2-2 and 3.2v but thatā€™s about all. Decent for the $$ I guess though.
