    I don't have an H2O setup, but I'll definitely give some standard air-cooling a shot for my first few hours. Your air results are excellent considering how cold the air in your region is. It's getting close to summer time hear in Southern California so my results won't be as stellar as yours.

    No

    Lancaster = 1 Mb (E4) -> San Diego on S754
    Newark = 512Kb (E3) -> Venice on S754
    Oakville = 512Ko (D0) -> Winchester on S754

    Why then does ozzimark's chip have 1MB of L2 cache?

    Because it's a Lancaster
    Not a Newark ...

    Same die than a 1Mb Turion
    1Mb can't be a Newark

    yeah, i closed the window that supplies cold air to my rig and had to back down to 2.81ghz

    computersmsa: there use to be lancaster on AMD's roadmap. it has been taken up by the 1mb and 512kb turions. i'm guessing they're actually the same core, but the ones with bad cache get sold as 512kb
    newark is still there as the direct replacement for mobile clawhammers. this is what i have, a 1mb cpu.
    http://www.amd.com/us-en/Processors/...18_608,00.html
    lancaster is designated by the.. LD or something on the end of the OPN. it's a completely different core that has been proven by FF and tristian to not scale well.. hitting a max around 2.6-2.7ghz with a bunch of voltage
    Got a fan over those memory sticks? No? Well get to it before you kill them

    Well, Newark, New Jersey, Los Angeles, or whatever they want to call it - it's lookin' like a beautiful chip so far. And that's all that truly matters to me.

    ozzimark -> I'm in the doubt now
    AMD Mobile in not easy to know at 100 %

    For me a 1 Mb SSE3 and DSL can only be a Lancaster

    Newark remplace the Oakville (512Kb).

    conrad.maranan -> I don't undertand why you invest in S754 ?

    hahaha, true. makes me wonder now, as i've always assumed that it's newark. hmmm...
    anywho, it is indeed an awesome cpu. that is truly what matters, not it's label

    Conrad: I want pictures and screenies!

    Lancaster = 1 MB (E0) - Turion
    Judging by the dates I am guessing that Lancaster was the begining of Rev. E not only did they not clock very well but they also were the first to arrive in large quantities. 512K Turions on the way and some are confusing.

    Newark = 1MB (E*) I honestly don't know exactly what Rev. it is. But when I first saw it, I instantly thought Turion. So far no 90nm Mobile Athlon 64s with 512 Cache.

    And I was told that AMD has not released these yet. In other words they don't want you to buy them. There are still way too many Claws left for them to start selling the new stuff. So there is currently no ETA on these parts.

    But the 3700+ is in stock unofficially. Probably because it doesn't have a 130nm counterpart.
    Isn't this the 3700+ counterpart:

    That's why I may wait until Newegg resupplies these lidless Clawhammers with the AMN3700BKX5BU Lancaster... or is it Newark again ... hey, I got an idea, lets all start calling it the Ozzi

    Oh yeah. Then this 3700+ Lancaster/Newark is a "true mobile". Then that may mean Newegg may never get them.

    Thanks Vandi, I may be getting one from you after all. When do you plan on placing an order?

    You can PM me you know, if you wish to chat in private.

    Yes, this is a Newark. Lancaster is low-power (Turion64).

    EDIT: no selling/buying/trading outside the classies

    I think I'll be joining you ozzi. Am planning to bite the bullet and just get one of these 3700+ Vandi is going to get instead of hold out for the 3400+.

    Hope mine is able to hit 2.7-2.8GHz w/out too much voltage like yours.

    i'm holding steady (prime95 stable! omg!!) at 2726mhz with 1.45v, 25c air, 38c load temps.
    i think i'll bring down temps in about half an hour and see if i can't do 3.2ghz with 1.75v

    i'll be looking forward to having some guys with the same chip, even if it is cool to be the only one

    It's cool to be the only one with something. Being unique is always wonderful. But the level of fun is going to get kicked up a few notches once these chips start landing in the hands of other enthusiasts.

    Now get back to work and show me 3200MHz.

    heh, you'll get sub-zero though

    i'm still working on the temps.. down to a 25c load temp, i'd like to see a bit lower before i really shoot for anything.

    Where are you pulling that air from, let me guess your in Canada.

    I plan to put it under an Aquagate water cooling system and would be content with 2800~2900 ... 3ghz 24/7 would be awsome though.

    pretty close, just under the boarder in rochester, NY. it's about 7c outside last i checked.

    sadly, that's not good enough. couldn't break 3.1ghz. 1.75v just made things worse. idle temp rose up 30c with ~12c intake air
    i was playing with ram, even tried my value ram that did ~270mhz before, and still could only get to 3095mhz before it locked.
    http://valid.x86-secret.com/show_oc?id=16228

    guess i'll have to scrounge together the money or beg someone for a phase unit (i wish!)

    edit: i've decided to swap the board for my k8n neo tomorrow. i'm curious to see if my results are any different if i can finally use the ram divider for a good purpose again (dfi: )
