great !
i'll keep my s754 with these processors we could be able to bash the fx-57 (with coldbug) :p
mfg
Wow! Now I want a Newark, even though I already have a brand new 2800+ Oakville and a brand new 3200+ Newcastle, and just 1 mobo. May have to sell both chips to raise fund. hehe
nice!!!!
Yeah not bad. What was your max stable clock, though? Screenshots at 3.1GHz are nothing more than a novelty if it isn't stable.
5C air... Wow, where are you at? Anyone have a chance yet to put one of these puppies under phase change?
Currently building my i7 920 rig

GTX285 - Intel X25-M + 1.2TB - Watercooled
around 2.8ghz with 1.5v. i'm still trying to find the limit..
however, one small problem. for now, it hates two sticks of ram, and using a divider for my ballistix doesn't seem to work out too well. if i can managed to get 233mhz out of 2x512 ( ), i think my 24/7 speed will be 2.8ghz
and i live in rochester, NY. temps got down to 1-2c last night, and i have a duct from the window. 5c was a rough guess from robberbaron, but probably isn't too far off. i have pictures of the setup somewhere earlier.
Got a fan over those memory sticks? No? Well get to it before you kill them
Impressive clocks there ozzimark
Keep up the good work...
Very cool man.
Though it doesn't really seem much better than normal Mobile 754's.
wow ozzi. you just keep going higher and higher. let us know when you decide on a 24/7 prime95, occt, 3dmark, sp 32m, etc speed and what voltage you get that speed at.

mobo: strix b350f
gpu: rx580 1366/2000
cpu: ryzen 1700 @ 3.8ghz
ram: 32 gb gskill 2400 @ 3000

hdd's: samsung 500gb ssd 1tb & 3tb hdd
This is not bad considering that this was all done in less than 24hrs. 2.8GHz should be stable but the question is at what voltage?
I actually thought that at first... But this is a few hundred mhz higher than you see mobile 754s go.Originally Posted by Grov

This is looking pretty good.
I think I might get me one of these in a few months as an upgrade from my 3200+ mobile.
This is better than most people get with 754 clawhammers, my 3200 gets to 2.65gig on water.
If I can get 3gig on water with one of these with decent memory speed then I would be happy to buy one.
sadly, i think this cpu has the same issue with prime95 that some of the winchesters did. it takes everything i can throw at it, but prime95 gives me that 100 warnings crazyness. i have no idea what's up with it. today is a busy day, so i don't know if i'll be able to get much done, though i'll say that i've been sitting on 2.7ghz with 1.45v since last night. good news about temps though.Originally Posted by tristancarton
i'll try to run some benches in a while at a higher voltage (2875mhz with 1.55v anyone? ), see if i can't do anything to kill it aside from prime95.
no, i have some, but it's in my parent's rig about 600miles awayOriginally Posted by blueworm
i'll give my 5b C stick a try though.
also, i'd like to thank whoever put this up on the front page (saaya? ), however, it's not a turion

I asked when I can expect these:
AMN3000BKX5BU
AMN3200BKX5BU
AMN3400BKX5BU
And I was told that AMD has not released these yet. In other words they don't want you to buy them. There are still way too many Claws left for them to start selling the new stuff. So there is currently no ETA on these parts.
But the 3700+ is in stock unofficially. Probably because it doesn't have a 130nm counterpart.

for anyone who wants to know what i'll probably be running for 24/7. i was able to run 32m 3 times without problem.
good luck getting those out vandi, i expect some other people to join me in the >3ghz on air with s754 club (am i the only one?)

Go order an LN2 tube from chilly1 and torture that chip. Show us its true potential.Originally Posted by ozzimark
heh, i'll be hoping to nudge a bit more out of it tonight. i did some poking around and it appears that the WR for s754 is 3.3ghz though on phase (correct me if i'm wrong here). i doubt i can get another 200mhz to overtake that quite yet.. not without sub-zero.
i wish i had the money left to go for an extreme setup like that, but i simply don't right now

Man, this chip has got me thinking about water cooling now.
Hey Conrad, what do you plan to do?
I think this baby can do 12 x 300 = 3.6GHzOriginally Posted by ozzimark
Ozzi, do you think it would be possible to get this baby stable 24/7 at 3GHz with water?
I think the RAM problems are BIOs related, right?
Still using Beta?
My friend Online had his 3700+ bench 3019mhz through 3D with a Zalman 7700Cu and frigid ambient I don't think he tried for a suicide screeny.Originally Posted by ozzimark
And I agree with conrad, I wanna see one of these under DI

I'll order my board and graphics card tonight or tomorrow morning. I'm still debating on which card to get (leaning towards X800 XTPE). I'll probably follow it up with some LN2 action later on.
Very cold air indeed and good work there by your friendOriginally Posted by twilius_basic
yeah, i think a new bios would help out temendously.. i would try 4/8, but i don't want to have to deal with swapping out cpu's if it doesn't end up working.Originally Posted by Vandi423
3ghz stable should be doable if you get a better chip than i have and aren't afraid to pump voltage into it it
cold air is the way to go (until i can get my hands on phase/ln2)
conrad: looks sweet, any plans to try it out on air/water too?
