Believe me, mine is not the only one. Most of LBBLE 0515GPBW bought locally here can do that - this is really proven since we have a bunch of guys here who managed same or better results. Here is an example - CPU is watercooled.

There's isn't any venice core in singapore yet, it will take at least 2-3 months.

has anyone gotten a dud yet? I'm getting 2.4Ghz with 1.5v on a 3200+ Venice
temps are sucking as well under watercooling at 43c
I'll try reseating the waterblock but these are pretty poor results IMO

Almost 0.1V difference between SuperPI 32M and Prime95 with passive watercooling.
Can you provide a linky to the new prime95 24 version?.... it's not on the main website.
The little air system that could.

I went to Ncix Burnaby. I noticed that it was in stock on the website so gave them a call. They had 1 3000+ left so I told them to hold it for me.

I just finished building up my rig. As I expected, it booted up fine with the BIOS that the DFI cam with from Newegg, but as soon as I hit F8 in the Windows installation screen... BOOM! BSOD PFN_LIST_CORRUPT. So I went to my uncles house, got the 414-2 bios, saved it in a floppy and went back home. Only to realize I didn't have a DOS boot floppy. Drove back to my uncles house, made the floppy, went back home, booted into DOS, FLashed, and crossed my fingers.

Got to the F8 part of the install, and my hand was shaking as I hit the F8 key, so I slowly nudged the F8 key and to my surprise, evertyhing from there on out went fine. So this is the first post I make while the words I am typing are being processed by an AMD processor since my first computer back in 1998.

Feels kinda weird... I think I'm sorta seasick Having Intel systems for 7 years and switching to AMD now does weird things to my mind...

    *EDIT*
My 3500+ seems to be a 1.35v version.

Mines average so im not complaining. 2.45GHz at 1.52v works fine for my 3000+ on air. Id ebay yours and get a 3000+ and try again.

"Seems like you can hit 2.7ghz for average on 3000+ and 3200+ on air so I'm hoping for for at least 2.6ghz stable on air. Just need a good replacement to my winchester."

alot of people cant do 2.7 so id have to disagree there. your chances with a 3200+ is better however.

"Venice just barely loads Windows at 2.7 w/1.75vcore on good air."

good god back the volts down! How high can you get at like 1.55v?

"these Venice can take up to about 1.75v on air safely"

they wont last long and volts often doesnt help after a point. I am getting like 48c at 1.52v

I already posted a picture above, 2.7GHz prime stable on water. Too bad my LEs doesn't go much higher. I am sure it can do more.

My 516 EPEW from Newegg wont prime higher than about 2.65, I already have a 2.7GHZ winnie though. Not impressed and it's as much hit or miss as the winchesters were.

Over at DFI street AngryGames just gave me a new BIOS that is supposed to help out the venice's and San Diego's...he was able to run well over 3ghz on air cooling with it. I'm probably gonna try it out and see if it helps, but I think this batch of venices isn't the best. Lots of tweakin still to do.
what is this new bios that angrygames gave you? and where can we download it?

It won't run stable at 265fsb and I'm positive its the ram So I might just lower the timings to avoid voiding my warrantee
Warranty on VX is good up to 3.5V, so you probably don't need to lower the timings to get it stable.

This is the new bh-5 correct?
