I'd just get an new ISP if they're gonna be that much of a pain in the rear.

This doesn't help you (unless you move :P ), but this site compares ALL the ISP's across Canada:

It tends to take a load of memory and it also likes to crash. In general I don't like programs made in Java.

I've been using Bittornado for a very long time now, and although it's not as populair as it once was (for whatever reason), I still like it very much.

Yea I had the crashes too and looked it up. Run Netlimiter (1.30 the old one) when using Azureus (u don't have to set limits or anything) and it won't close until all downloads are finished. I've never seen it take a lot of memory, and even if it did, I wouldn't see the problem. No gaming when it's uploading uberfast. Btw, be sure that the NAT in Azureus isn't blocked, that makes a lot of difference.
Before Azureus I was using Shareaza and although it did the job pretty well, Azureus just 'pwnz' Shareaza bigtime, for example when a torrent has 1000 seeds, Azureus actually finds them, unlike Shareaza.

i guess u have to get a very advanced firewall, enable windows firewall, close all ports open to ur system, and block all ports but the needed ones
that should keep the isp "hackers" out

I've tried all the biggest BT clients and Utorrent has been the best all around so far. If you haven't tried it then take a look and you'll probably come 2 like it as i do.

my vote goes for uTorrent - used Azureus, but it became quite resource hog, when there were 40+ torrents going paralel.

uTorrent here as well....I'd put Azureus a few spots below the standard BT client...I just can't stand Java applications.

Anyway, uTorrent has all the good features of Azureus with none of the slowness nonsense. In fact, it's the fastest loading/downloading BT client I've ever used.

BitComet here... never found a reason not to use it.
someone wanna give me a synopsis as to why use uTorrent over BitComet?

I know Azureus and uTorrent have 'lazy bitfield' and 'header encryption' that prevent your ISP from telling you have bit-torrent.
Check out my benchmarking program here.
