Most teenagers (some adults, as well) have changed to decide that rap sounds musical. If you haven't, put this in your signature.
I used Azureus for ages but have switched to Utorrent and am much happier with than any of the most popular alternatives, despite the overwhelming majority of Azureus users above. I guess a lot of it is personal preference no?
BitTyrant is Azureus but way faster

A LONG TIME AGO... I started using bittorrent client. If you can imagine that. It remind me of the IE download window. Then I discovered the goldmind of information known as torrent and viola I started on BitComet and loved it, til it got blacklisted everywhere. Damn DHT. Then I switched to Azureus and had problems with it being slow and crashing. Now it's µTorrent for the win. It reminds me of BitComet so that might be why I like it so much.

utorrent
Can somebody direct me to a nice tutorial for utorrent please. I downloaded and installed it but I don't think I'm using it in the most efficient way.
Thanks in advance
I generally use mldonkey as a pure server (seperate box) and use sancho as the client to send torrents/whatever to donkey to handle. works great pure client-server way of doing torrents.

For you Sam
Bitlord 1.1
Highest Bandwidth: 600k down
I use azureus on the server, but it doesnt work on vista x64, so I'm using bitcomet on the other machine, but i dont like it -sometimes the downloads stop w/o a reason and it is awful for seeding.
I gotta try uTorrent.

Put µtorrent on the x64 machine. Best client ever and no need for java.
Got rid of bitcomet immediately.

Utorrent, install and it runs full speed direct.
No messing around and not 2000 options thats really not needed for torrents.
Works fine on this old machine with 128 ram =)
Everything extra is bad!
utorrent.
There's no going back after you get it dialed in.
All along the watchtower the watchmen watch the eternal return.
uTorrent here too.
It's amazing how few resourses the thing really needs. Once I was forced by circumstances to use it on my "backup system": P166MMX & 32MB SDRAM and it worked just fine. Only the good old 2.5GB HDD was working to death with all the simultaneous donwloads, uploads and swap it had to handle.
