uTorrent and nothing but uTorrent. I've been using it pretty much since the time it went public and haven't looked back since.

Previous to that it was Eike Frost's Experimental Client, then SHAD0W's Experimental Client and then Azureus.

I never had any success with any torrent at all. I download the .torrent file, run Bittorrent or whatever, and all it does is sit there and do nothing. I left it for 24 hours and it still was at 0% with no ETA.

I'm probably just doing something wrong but I gave up. Not like I had a big use for it anyway.

    FTW.

basically the best one out there, no need to use anything else.

    I use isohunt.com and mininova.org for torrents

Nothing beats the good ol' Azureus, although quite high on resources.
uTorrent is a good and smaller alternative

Don't forget to get PeerGuardian while downloading!

I am so sick of net getting halfway decent DL speeds. It's really pissing me off.

I have tried getting dl's from at least three different locations, all with DSL or faster, tried different TOrrent programs, have tried different torrents, tried for the same torrrent with different computers and lucky to get above 60-80KPS..

I am seriously doubting people getting 100+kPS downloads.

How the hell do I configure the programs to maximize speeds?

Can't help you, just depends on the seeders IIRC. Some torrents I get 80k others 200-300k.
