    Building A Custom Case

    Specs:
    AMD A64 3000 Winchester (wk41 SPMW) @ 276x9 1.55v, DangerDen TDX Cooled
    2x512mb Adata PC4000 Viesta @ 276 @ 3-4-4-10
    MSI PCI-E 6600GT 128mb, @ 600/1200 on stock cooling, no mods (YET ) DangerDen Maze4 Cooled
    Gigabyte K8NF-9 nForce 4 Motherboard
    2x80GB Samsung SATA in RAID0
    SB Live 5.1
Tagan 480w PSU (SLI one - RMA for ticking original one )
Sony DW22A Dual Layer 16x DVDRW
    Thermochill HE120.2 Radiator
    DD 12V Pump
    DD FillPort

Right... started the mod with a pair of these...

I began to strip the godawful fascia, tinny panels and so on.... heres where I am now.

    Done so far:
    -Pop riveted the 2 together.
-Cut the drive cage from the mobo side, cut the mobo tray from the other.
-Removed the front on the mobo side - with a new front panel to mount Thermochill 120.2, DD pump and fillport
    Cut restrictivefan grills out

    Still to do:
-Aluminium (1.2mm) Panels, U Shaped top and sides in one piece, seperate front panel
-Cut drive bays, and space for mesh grills at the front
-Wire up anti-vandal switch for power
    -tidy up cuts
-Paint wooden strut - just done tonight
-strengthen chassis - just done tonight
-NorthBridge waterblock (custom made) in summer tho

Still looking for a couple of cases to do mine.

Haven't found anything close to that price.

    Search continues.

    Very nice Jelly!!

A couple questions: Did you make the outer piece out of aluminum or steel, and what thickness is it? Also, how did you bend it?

about a week mate, body fillering some bits atm

sorting the rad top mounted, got a custom NB block to go in ...

now on a DFI NF4 and X800 (rma for 6600gt) plus some UTT for benching

UV dye and Cathodes here we come

hopefully will look good... black inside and out, chrome fan guards and window trim, done a HTPC in the black (just brush on Hammerite) and it looks swish
