    First-ever Dual-core AMD Desktop processor

It isn't very often something truly, 100% exclusive and drool-worthy drops into my mailbox here, but today just happens to be one of those days - I can now present to you what is the first benchmark of a desktop dual-core AMD processor!

    Meet the Athlon 64 X2 4800+

    Looks promising.

It's all fun and games; a great community. We are elite bastards anyway, they just found a way to express ourselves.

More or less the same as the single-core approximate since 3DMark is single threaded. There would be as much of a gain from using dual-core in single-threaded games as there would be from hyperthreading.

Well, I think the goal was kind of to drive traffic to Elite Bastards. Either that, or the one graph is all we have.

Oh, and speaking of the posts below that, we at EB take pride at going way, way off topic during our regular posting. It just keeps everyone on their toes.

And yes, we have unusual avatars.

The source of this test and the specifications of the testing rigs - where are they?

If you post something like this without backing it up with facts like other benchmark testing is done, you'll only discredit yourself.
Signature? are you kidding? with new stuff coming out every day, why bother ?

Without facts that we all can investigate, this could be an illusion.

This 3.73EE score is without HT. With HT it's around 390-395.

exactly, its just crap, god how easily some people are lead that one very questionable bench is all you've got? i just love this reply 'More or less the same as the single-core approximate since 3DMark is single threaded.' it's about as lame as a geforce4ti4200 reply if you've really got one which i highly suspect you havnt your gonna have to post more than that to persuade us lot at XS
