my 360w psu got a very nice rails then!!look!!no brand 360w
For the most part I've been with out a decent set of ram since the day after I got this chip over 3 weeks ago. Since my new set of LEs arrived from OPB on the 1st and then earlier today the 7/2 bios was released I just had to play! I mean after all I've set a WR with this chip but we still haven't got to know each other.
Warmup, since the 0515 APAWs are know for a weak mem controller I just wanted to stress the CPU and not push the ram yet. BTW this is being Air cooled by my XP-90 in my Antec SOHO server case with the door closed.
SuperPI 32M
10 x 291 @ 1.55v
9:10 (180) mem divider
Time to push the memory and mem controller!
SuperPI 1M
10 x 291 @ 1.52v
no divider
1M at 2.91GHz was no problem as I expected but I was concerned about 32M...
SuperPI 32M
10 x 291 @ 1.55v
I was suprised at this result. I did not have to change a single timing. Lets move on to my final and my personal favorite test, Max 1M time.
SuperPI 1M
10 x 293 @ 1.52v
I could smell a 28 second 1M but I just couldn't pull it off. That should just about wrap it up, the pictures speak for themselfs. If everything goes according to plan I should have a 3000+ 0517 and some RedLine to play with sometime next week. Maybe with some RedLine running at 260MHz+ I'll be able to break the 28 second 1M mark on air so stay tuned!

I took out my 9800pro and poped in an old pci graphics card, it allowed for some better clocking, pc didn't shutdown at 1.65 anymore or 1.7 but i think 1.75 did shut down this is all voltages selected actually is -0.1v, I was able to get it to 3.2ghz before it restarted, didn't get a screeny tho but, On my way there I stoppedd at 2.99ghz for this.
I forget what the ram was at, this is a bad screeny I know but I had to do it twice lol becasue I clicked ok the first time after it was done.\\
Right now I got 18amps on my 12volt line, and 480watts total, Should I go down to 450 watts and 26amps on 12volt line, or should I go up to 520watts and more amps on the 12volt line.
Nice clocks there 4rory. And to think earlier you mentioend that you had a bad memory controller and had to use 1 dimm with max divider to go past 2.9, now you say you hit 3.2! Whatever you changed, excellent improvement, you've got a fine chip.Originally Posted by 4rory
Yeah, you need something with more amps on the +12V rail. Modstream isn't bad, do you have the money for the 520 powerstream?
Anyhow, to stay relevant, here's my latest
0517 APJW 3000+ @ 2.86 Ghz
Now i am officially prime stable here, i have never let it run that long, no patience. Usually i run with less voltage because most of my tasks aren't as demanding as prime95, nothing important on my PC so works fine.

here is my new venice 3000+ 0517DPMW baught last week in a shop in Paris:
I'll see what it does with sp2004 when I'll have the time but somebody else have a venice 3000+ which pass OCCT at 2700@1.34V in air?
room temp was about 23°C
I saw that peter_lu had 2800@1.4V but the screen shows that he ran sp2004 for just 1min

Alrighty. I received a 3500+ CBBLE 0512 DPAW yesterday. So far so good. I can pass 8M Super Pi up to 2.9ghz (290x10 1.55v) If it passes 8M then it will do everything I need without a hiccup. 32m is just to damn long!
I can get a suicide shot at 3ghz but I can't do much other than browse. I tried 300x10 and 273x11 but nogo either way. Not to bad for a second hand cpu that I bought here for a great price!!! I have only had one other 2.8ghz+ cpu and it was a 3500+ claw that ran to damn hot. I am psyched to finally get a low voltage cool running 2.9ghz cpu!

I picked up one of the Venice 3000+ CPUs that was being discussed in the Deals forum. At $115 I figured I could take a chance. I got a YBBLE 0524DPBW.
Early results are okay but not great. I'm SuperPi 32M stable at 2.7ghz on air. I think I'm pretty near the limit because I'm giving it almost 1.7v (1.55+13%) and that's usually where diminishing returns kick in hard. Surprisingly the Thermalright XP-90/Zalamn 92mm combo I'm using seems to be holding the temps at load to a MBM reported 42c.
I'm using the the shipping bios (3-10) on this new Ultra-D mobo and got my OCZ Platinum Rev.2 TCCD out of retirement. Still trying to tweak the settings a bit.
Sourcing parts for a mildly over clocked abacus.
