If you can get a pic of the back of the card, I'll try to find some mods

I think the RT9214 chip is controlling the Vgpu, so for the GPU mod, connect a variable resistor between pin 6 and ground. I think 20k should be ok for the value of the variable resistor, but if you want me to confirm the value, can you check the resistance between pin 6 and ground, and pin 8 and pin 6. If you need me to mark any of the pins on a picture for you I will.

I think that the LM324 will be controlling the Vmem, so if you want Vmem mods as well, can you post a close-up pic of the LM324 area.

Would this be usable for say...a Sapphire X300 128MB 128bit card (stock core is 375Mhz, not 325) I'm just wondering because I have my DFI Ultra-D and 3000+ Venice on the way, and I wanna pickup an X300 to go for top spot on the ORB also once i get my h2O running on the Venice.

I'm planning on coming up with some crazy-a$$ custom aircooling for the card unless i can get a waterblock to fit and crank the volts.

I dont mean to try and hijack the thread, but any help would be much appreciated, cus I might stay away from the $700 vid cards for awhile and work on some $100 card high scores.

    Hi!

Have got a X300 SE (64-bit) and want to mod the memory (vanilla DDR1, Hynix 5ns).

GPU goes to 450 MHz (325 MHz default) with 1.25V but does not improve results very much because of massive memory-bottleneck. Therefore no GPU mod needed.

Memory is 195 MHz (390 MHz) default and works stable up to 229 MHz (458 MHz). 235 MHz (470 MHz) and above results in corrupted textures.

I have located LM324-D and its pins. Already measured every pin against ground.

Here is close-up of front and back

    http://mitglied.lycos.de/xxmartin99/x300se/front2.jpg

    http://mitglied.lycos.de/xxmartin99/x300se/back2.jpg

    The measured voltages are here:

Bios health-monitoring reads 12V to 12.22V - exactly the voltage on the Vcc. 1.25V may be default-Vgpu, 2.49V default-Vmem for DDR1. However, I have no idea about those 2.26V and 4.62V. I am wondering why 1.25V und 2.49V are connected to input pins and not to outputs?

Don't think that 2.26V is Vgpu und 4.62V is Vmem?

Anyway - can someone please tell me how to increase vmem to 2.8-3.2V?
    (what type of variable resistor)

    The datasheet is here
    http://www.onsemi.com/pub/Collateral/LM324-D.PDF

Thank you very much for any help!

    Martin

    // edit

I have measured input resistors and voltages around pin 9 and 10. The 2.60V are looking nice.

I guess, I have to connect Pin 9 to Pin 11 (ground) with variable resistor between?

    Alright. Problem is solved.

Connected a 10K variable resistor between Pin 9 and Pin 11 (or any ground).

Vmem increased from 2.60V to 2.71V (measured on 423 Ohm resistor). Lowering the 10K resistor increases Vmem up to 3V+. Since I only wanted around 3.0-3.1V, I am happy now.

    hi there...
we need ur help to vmod Abit X300se VGuru
    it's a x300se w/ 128 bit mem interface
so far it can run 550/360
    wonder if it's vmodded
    pic will be available soon

    here the pics...
    the back of the card

    and the IC are..

    please anyone....
    how to vmod this card?
i'm using the VGuru software to monitor the temp and voltage
the default vgpu is around 1,2v and it changed to 1,30 and max @ 1,35v when we switched the Turbo mode (via Jumper)
vmem stock is 2,37v and changed to around 2,5v and max @ 2,67v

    ADDED:
the memory chip is TSOP Samsung 3.6ns
i've ever done vmem mod on TSOP Hynix 3,6ns on my Leadtek GF6600 card, with 2,85v it can run @ 800MHz w/ changed timing

    thx b4
    for the respons....

    Hi,

I can help you or at least try...

    --

APW7037A-chip is a voltage regulator, and generating either Vmem or Vcore. Datasheet can be found here:

    http://www.anpec.com.tw/products/dow.../APW7037a6.pdf

Could you identify which mosfets/inductors/capacitors this regulator drives (pins 3,5) and after that measure voltage of over these output capacitors (to find out Vmem/Vcore ?). The output voltage of the regulator can be altered (raised) by connecting a (variable) resistor LARGE enough (say >10 kohm) between pin 1 and GND. When doing that: BE SURE TO HAVE MAXIMUM VALUE AT FIRST

Badly needed? I would think 1.35V would go pretty far with that gpu.

The APW7037A will probably be being used for Vgpu. Can someone check the resistance between pin 1 and ground on that chip please.

Can you also try to get a picture of the front of the card. I think the Vdd/Vddq regulators will probably be on the front of the card.

    I get 691 ohms.
