Hey Andy, my OCZ PWSTRM 520W is still alive, only board has been DOA.

But I wonder about a lot of exploded PSUs connected with the DFI NF4, so is there an issue I should know before my RMA'd board is back?

Don't get me wrong, I never had a problem with OCZ products but I still feel really pissed because of the DOA board so I want to avoid a damaged PSU on my second trial.........

If I change the memory timings(upper half of DRAM Configuration) when the memory is set to asynchronous, some errors occur in Memtest.
If I set the memory to synchronous once, change the timings, and set it back to asynchronous, the errors don't occur.
So I have to change the timings when the memory is set to synchronous, reboot, and set it to asynchronous.
I'm sorry for my bad English.

The best I can say is that I have an off the shelf board that I purchased at Fry's and a 600w Powerstream PSU that came off the shelf at OCZ. I'm running SLI and have no no issues at all. I have 2 x BFG 6600GT OC and got 7385 in 3dm05.

Could be your ram to board compatible issue.
The dfi Ultra is 5x better then the Neo2, in my case it is. My Neo2 hated my BH-5/6 rams no matter which bios I tried, the dfi is loving them.
Also I am using the 520w OCZ and have reported no issues with this psu.

    Don't worry.. I can't boot with 7x multiplier... I reckon it's the Winni's memory controller...

Stability in MemTest does not guarantee stability in Windows.. it gives you a rough indication of what's probably stable... SuperPi 32M is a good indicator

ok thank's . well, some improoves here. with OPB's timming settings i can run spi 8M at 272HTT (2.5-3-3-6) but i can't even boot at 275HTT

do you think that maybe is because i have a 20 pines PSU? would it be a difference with the 24 pines adapter?

    Cheers

No i think PSU is not the problem. I'm currently using Antec True Control 550 which is a 20 pins PSU and it works fine. All voltage rail are over the requirement. And i can run @ 300HTT without problems.
PS: Plug all power connector to MB and lower HTT Ratio, with over 250, set it to 3x . If u want over 1000Mhz HTT bus, try to increase LDT/HTT Voltage tto 1.3 or higher

Once I was done installing blackice I was surfing around on the internet and suddenly the BSOD appears and the computer reboots. I heard a short signal from the motherboard while this happens, and another one when the computer boots up again. I got into windows again and I sit there looking at the desktop for a while. After a while the bluescreen reappears and the computer reboots again. I decided to raise VDimm to 3.2 for my VX and boot the computer again. Now the BSOD randomly appears after logging into Windows, but sometimes it does not. Please help

All settings in bios are at standard except for the vdimm voltage. I'm using bios 1/25. I am using the chipset drivers included on the cd that came with the motherboard. It appears the BSOD always appears again after a while, not always after the log in.
Hey, I've started getting the same thing!! Initially I had the 4-pin molex power connector plugged in, and everything was fine - i took it out, and then this started happening *I think*, so I've plugged it back in, and am still testing to see if it will crash.... Give it a try

Anyone tried going up more then 3,8v?

    At 3,9 windows won't boot...if i change to 3,8v everything works like a charm!

Tried boot at default, boot with oc, boot with default settings then change with a64tweaker, boot with different timmings, try raising the 12/5/3,3v rails of my 465 enermax the same, LDT and Chipste voltage max, pci-ex at 105 (ati card) none of this works...

    Any idea?

btw does it worth buying a 20 to 24 atx pin adapter to use? I know this is not the reason why 3,9v aren't working cuzz i have a friend with the same problem with a 520w ocz psu...

Got to try 3,9 and 4v to see if my bh-5 scale a little more

Snowice - Im wondering the exact same thing, gfx's supose to run 100mhz I've heard... But I read the other day on a site, dont remember which... - That 105 for x850XT should be good, havnt tested it though

As well I wonder.... In the menu where you set first priority device etc... - Theres something about a size - Some ppl say It's supose to be set to 256 - the memory amount on gfx... But standart is 4096...

    Im a bit confused.....
As well there's other things that gets on my nervs... - The board requeres more vdimm for my ram than A8N-SLI... And they "max" out 20 mhz lower
Another thing that I sadly dont remember with my A8N-SLI... - Was the max Async time... - Which according to Tom H's SuperPI guide should be quite important - On the DFI card, I cant get it to boot at 7 - 8 is minimum - at lower than std. speed (for mem)

this problem could be solved by moving usb jumpers to 5vSB instead of 5v...look in the manual for those jumpers.....it seems to solve the problem for most ppl.

how about the internet problem??? which rev boards has it, what bios are you using, and what have you tried?.........i know someone descirbed something about putting the MAC adress into bios manuelly.......just cant find it in this big forum.

another problem with a solution was something about settings in bios, and somethings you would have to change 1 setting and save in a special way.....

any of these problems that has been solved with newest bios (218 AFAIK) ???
Come on, lets get a resume of this thread about most common problems and their solutions!!!

I have some trouble with overclocking the DFI nf4 sli-d. This is probably noobish and the problem is me not setting some bios settings correctly, but I will give it a shot anyways.

Using the 209 bios, winchester 3500+, 2x512 TwinMos Winbond UTT and bequiet 470W.
My temps should be fine with XP-120, but when I put the multiplier to 11x and start raising the HTT with clockgen 5Mhz a time with 5-15 minutes of superpi in between (Prime95 crashed much sooner) Windows crashes before I reach 220. Now, I'd imagine it'd go higher. What am I doing wrong here?

    Can that be an issue?

    Hynix RAM - problem solved.

OK, when I first got my board, before I got my BH6, I was running some OCZ 3700 Gold rev 3, with hynix chips, at 250htt. Its been out for a while, but I put it back in for some testing. Switched back to 3.3v for vdimm, cleared cmos in the normal way, loaded default settings, and couldn't get above 210htt! WTF! Tried rolling back to older bios version, no go. Started up A64tweaker, and noticed Max Async Lat was set to 5ns (auto in bios). Set it to 7ns and I'm able to get to 260htt 1T!

This brings me on to a problem I have... What is limiting my RAM O/C? Both sets of ram (BH6 and hynix) reach 260 1:1. Neither will do 262. I had the hynix at 270 2T on an Asus SLI board, so would expect the same on this board, but nope, makes no difference set to 262, and reboot.

    Memory controller?
