heh... id like to play with one of those x800xl cards with a power plug, i hope the power plug gives it a nice boost when upping the vcore... i have a feeling the x800xl sucks up quite a lot and is close to the max the pciE slot can deliver, and without a power plug vcore probably gets unstable when increased and the vpu is oced... thats at least what i HOPE because then a card with powerplug would oc better hehe

btw, what memory did you order? tccd not performing on the 865 isnt something new, but bh5/bh6 not clocking high is odd...did you try eb or ballistix yet?

my bbati is the highest OC'er out there... on DI @ 1.7v, 550/615....
When I get the P4 ironed out, I'll bench Intel+x800xl....
Yeah, odd thing... tccd/5 sucks...the BH6 sticks are only goood for like 235ish..
    I have MUSHKIN HighPerf PC4400 coming, guaranteed 275 2.5-3-3 on teh 865...

oh cool, mushkin has 865 tested sticks?

and 550 on an x800xl is amazing
is there a big difference between max mem and max core clock between just ocing core/mem and ocing both? if yes then the card prolly pulls a lot of power but it cant get enough through the pciE slot...

These mushkin sticks are really nice... this Intel rig is my new 24/7 beastie
I'm running 24/7 super smooth and stable @ 4100mHz+ 274mHz (1.41v), 1:1, 2.5-3-3-5, Mem perf mode enabled, everything else tight as can be...
Pulls 31s sPi, pretty much the same or better than my 24/7 3000+ rig...
    And economical, too! Mobo @ $46, CPU @ $230, DDR @ $230...

Yeah, on DI, the X800XL wakes up and starts running! Woohooo!!!!
I'll try that test of the power through the pci-e slot!
    I'm HAPPY

    Well, I didn't say THAT
my next "competition rig" will be 90nM FX... San Diego!
lol... but it's replacing my old P4 2.66B @ 3.4gHz on IC7-G... so the new rig is considerably FASTER than the old one....
