From what I can tell and have read, all the beta's since 310 have been addressing ram compatiblity issues (mainly UTT and BH5 low latency stuff) will help get you higher ram freq and maybe better bandwidth.
Most of the beta's are safe to flash, just be sure and flash with your comp at default (non OCed) to prevent bios flash corruption.
If your using TCCD, then no real advantage to running anthing other than 310 or 310p
I beleive 310p simply has default values for some of the memory controller settings tweaked for high clocks on memory.

3-16 is an alpha released to beta testers at DFI street. Not everyone had good results using slots 1 & 3.
