    So how hard do you think it will hit the server with everyone using the search feature? Or has the Vb company optimized their search function? The last time I ran a forum when alot of people used the search feature the load % thing would shoot up alot. This forum is much bigger than any forum I ran too.

    is the server slow just from all the page requests or is it going slow cause everyone is trying to use the forum search tool? If it is the forum search tool could you disable that for the duration of the contest? (Also I am not seeing any hints in your first post)
