    G.Skill F3-1200CL7D-2GBHZ ... New DDR3 Cas 6 WR?

    Hi guyz,

i think this is the new DDR3 CAS6 WR. Dj883u2 did it with the G.Skill F3-1200CL7D-2GBHZ that Gskill sent us and that we reviewed here:
    Recensione G.Skill F3-12800CL7D-2GBHZ (2x1Gb)

In this review we reached this scores:

and we thought this memories were damn good.. and some days later, after some tries here it is:

    New World Record - DDR3 a CAS 6-6-6-18 1T!

    Frequency: 2011Mhz cas 6-6-6-18 1T!.
    Voltage: 2.44V.

    CONFIGURAZIONE:
    CPU: Intel C2D E8500 “Wolfdale”.
    Mainboard: Asus Maximus Extreme.
    Ram: G.Skill F3-1200CL7D-2GBHZ (2X1Gb).
    VGA card: ATI X1050 256MB PCI E.
    PSU: Tagan TG1100-U95 1100-watt.
    Ram Cooling: Air.

Yeap, its the WR, you've beaten us danes...

and at even lower vdimm, nice..
Im up for giving it another shot, very awesome result!

... I wonder if its better sticks, or the strengh of timings that matters, we used 2.48v (BIOS) and dry ice, but was PL: 6 and 6-5-5-18

looking forward to the second set of test with 2.6v fellas

i reckon we'll see some 2100/2200 speeds heheheheh

Id like to see a bandwidth shot or two. Pi cannot show the bandwidth your board is producing. use the 9.5x multi and hit 4.5Ghz, if it scores under 10s then its doing good.

We benched everything at cas 6 1800Mhz but I expected to see a 14k in everest. And going by your bus and sub timing settings I would rip that apart, nice start and that board has a lot of potential, good find.

for a 14k everest shot, you need "only" 2000+ cas7/cas8 with wolfdale and high fsb link
my opinion is, this cl6 wr thing is like ddr2 cl3 and ddr1 cl2 times, fight for the higher valids heh guys?
but you're right, some real brandwith test like winrar benchmark or some 3dmark01 effect could be interesting...

In 01SE I bet the difference will really show...

dinos, Im more into trying CL5 high frequency
    However, I'll deff give 1050mhz CL6 a shot.

Think 15000MB/s is quite possible... I just cant wait for the nehalem, if the memory controller is as good as A64's... We'll see 30GB/s in 2008 I belive.

I dont have a rampot, we used a kitchen solution, but, Im about to try some design, please inform if you have any ready David (THC) has good connection to getting a pot build for this purpos, I've just been struggling with some exams, so didnt have the time to make design..

As for the review, awesome, sad its in Italien, tryed to babelfish it, but lost all images But what I find very interesting is that just alike I've experienced, D9GTR REALLY benefits from voltage, its almost a straight line... Im very curious how much it can take before dieing.

    D9GTS love the cas6 setting.

I think we should have a bandwidth benchoff for DDR3 so we are all on the same page.

How do you think we could make a bandwith shot or ever two??? You kindding me man? I mean the memories are at the top of their possibilities they won't make anything better with air cooling, and we don't have any ram-pot ... and the cpu was under water-cooling so it won't take the 9.5x500 mhz ... sorry...

ya... and you think it'll be possibile to run a 3dmark01 with these memories at cas 6 @ 2000Mhz??? As I said before, this is the best we can do with air cooling It'll be awesome to make it.. but I don't think that right now it'll be possible.

thanks a lot man, I appreciate it!
    We usually don't run for memories WR .... and I don't think we'll buy a ram-pot ...

Wolfdale optional ...from the Ballistix OC Report in my sig:

click for full size including memset...
i don't quote in my signature, but best WR ever...

Currently no unable to do a bandwidth.......but i think it is not impossible....I have to try with a decidedly more E8500 lucky.
    I am sorry...

    Congrats guys, really impressive...

Could be cool to compare the two kits your kit Marc and the kit they have on our motherboard and the one they use to see, then you would really get a good comparing...

    Keep pushing it.
